Altadena Golf Course

Simple old school course with wide fairways with beautiful mountain back drop. Friendly golfers as well. Carts were in great shape. Be ready to hit off grass and not mats

Good Course to get a quick nine in. For the money it’s worth it. If you like great fairways this is in the course for you not all spots have good grass. The greens were OK too.

I expected a bit more given the location and price. Tees were a mess, and most were temporary tees 20-40 yards ahead of the standard tees, which shortens an already short course to one where driver is used only on maybe 2 holes. Fairways were sparse. Greens were nice, though.

Pace of play was good, fairways and greens were decent. Almost every tee was moved up for maintenance it seems which made all the holes shorter, but annoying to get yardage on almost every hole.

Course was not taking care of at all! Will never play here again smh

Great, simple course layout. Fun for seasoned players, as well as beginners. Wonderful vistas from all holes.

It wasn’t absolutely terrible, but you can tell there is little to no maintenance. Most of my balls were in the dirt, and those were on the fairway. It’s decent for practice, but for the price, you can practice at some kept-up courses nearby.

Golf in the Covid world is tough.... Altadena was a nice break for my son and myself....

The course is short, fun little layout, however the conditions were very poor! Mud on almost every hole!

Unfortunately most of the fairways were corded off and not playable. Nearly every fairway shot had to be picked up and moved out of the corded area. Very little grass around greens making chips out of mud. The course has seen better days.

Most the fairways where dirt and mud good layout just need more grass on the course

During COVID I'm disappointed that the practice green and chipping areas are closed. It could be very easy to social distance while practicing like the driving range and playing on the course. Junior players are loud and distracting on the range.

The facility is ran by LA County so the customer service and policies lack an enthusiasm to please.

I once had an urgent family health issue and was 40 minutes late for a $10 prepaid tee time. I was told that since it was prepaid, they could not get me on the course for a next available opening.

The course layout is perfect for a 9 hole practice round to work on fundamentals. It's easy to lose golf balls because the grass between the fairways is usually thick but the fairways themselves are great for a municipal course. The putting greens are mostly in good shape except a couple on each round. There are usually several unrepaired pitch marks on each green. The greens are challenging to read because of the mountains to the north.

I’ll come back often knowing full well about the shortcomings.

Greens and fairways are in great shape. Great long 9 hole course, only 2 par 3's. If you are not afraid of your driver, try this course

The pace of play was good. The fairways were good. However the tee boxes need some work

Nice place to work your game. Pretty open before 3 PM most days. The greens are fast but burnout in places on some holes. The fairways look good but with dry areas in spots. They finally cleaned up the trees that fell a few years ago behind the green on number 7. They have brand new carts. The cart I was driving was really nice.

The range is short and has no numbered targets. I do like the fact the grass day is every day and they have trees on the range.

I never been to the restaurant or bar other than to buy some water.

This course is a good challenge for most golfers but may not have the elegance that some may require.
