Santa Anita Golf Course

Took my daughter to play on Saturday afternoon. When we got there, they told us single rider only, which I understand. My daughter is not old enough to drive by herself while I prefer not to walk because I hurt my back a few weeks ago. So I asked for one riding and one walking. Guess what? They said no because they believe my girl will get into the cart. So I asked if that’s the guidance from County healthy department and the answer is “from our general manager”. We ended up leaving without play after spent 45 minutes driving there. Golfnow should list out such condition. Not sure if I can even get my money back! BTW, the guy at pro shop said S word in front of my daughter. Very very very bad experience, do NOT recommend AT ALL!!!!!!!!

Very slow pace on a Saturday noon start time, took 6 hours to finish 18 holes. Got hot deal on GolfNow and they won’t honor the price and paid full price on site.

Reservation made via GolfNow at $43/person but was charged for $60.50/person at the course instead.

Played course for 1st time late afternoon start. Nice maintained couse but staff didn't mention some event taking place forcing all groups to start on back nine. Was charged full round with staff knowing groups would be extremely backed up on the day woth no likelyhood of playing 9+holes. I played 4 holes and chose to leave. Super frustrating to wait every hole with [2] 4 some groups ahead of us as we approached every tee box. Would have been nice to alert us at time of booking but staff obviously preferred to make $$.

I've looked forward to playing this course for some time but I guess I will look elsewhere for now. Poor 1st impression.

I played twice this last week. We got off really early and finished both rounds in 4 hours. I don't know if this is a conscious effort by management but it usually plays 30-45 minutes slower if you tee off after 7:30. I never saw a marshall but it's a good idea to have someone out there tracking pace of play from the earliest tee times.

Had a 11:48 tee time didn't tee off until 12. It was Memorial Day, pretty slow round got done around 5:15, great track will definitely come back at a way earlier time.

I was paired up with a great group of gentlemen. Course was good, greens were slower, but in great shape. The only problem was the pace of play. We played two holes

in 50 minutes. The groups a head played very slow and did not waive us up on the par 3s. There were actually 4 groups waiting at one of the holes. I liked the course, but play it early and on a weekday!

Was in 3 Bunkers NONE had enough Sand was like hitting off a hard dirt road!

Greens were perfect,fairways in good shape Staff (Mike starter Jeff and Karin in restaurant) are excellent.

Course was in good condition. Greens nice ,tee boxes on some holes a little beat up, but playable.

Like all So Cal courses bunkers hard as rock.

Pace of play decent 4:45 for 18. Backed up on the par 3s. No beverage cart or marshal to be found. Bev cart would be nice to keep pace going or everyone stops after 9 to get a drink..
