Great place to play
Course was great. Pace of play was a little slow but not unreasonable. Layout is always fun to play. Value for the experience is awesome. Thinking of joining there. Memberships are reasonable in price.
White Course trails
Course was very good even though it rained quite a lot the night before... Enjoyed the whtie course with the cart paths winding thru the woods and you rarely saw ohter groups,, Definite re-play
Fun and sneaky nice
Very nice course. Superb practice facilties. Fun course with lots of accuracy required. Greens were awesome. Quality course especially for the price.
EXCELLENT GREENS
Other than no snack bar or driving range because of the weather, I will play here again and again.
Course is challenging and demands second shot excellence to score. I like that. Many golfers would run to this course if they had the chance.
Fun Course, Bad Management
Enjoyed the course. It offered some creative play. Fairways were in very good condition. Greens had just been poked - so difficult to rate. Played 9 in about 2.5 hours, but there was some delay at every tee due to the groups ahead. Scheduled 18, but at the turn there were 5 groups in front of us waiting on #10 to tee off. Disappointing, since we had driven an hour to get there and booked our tee time 2 days in advance. We didn't have the patience to wait, so we got a rain check for the last nine. Comments from course management were, "Sorry, it's really busy today." So, if busyness is going to drive the pace of play, what is the point of taking tee times? This is one of my biggest frustrations with golf in general and a common problem. Poor course management can ruin the day.
Excellent
The best course I played this year. Course well maintain. The greens had been punch earlier but rolled fast and true. This course is well worth the time to play. Will be back soon.
$14 to Walk! Nice Condtions But a LONG Walk!
I played with friends from the area, and we planned to walk 18 holes so that I could stretch my legs after driving down from Maryland. We were told we were playing the Orange to Black routing, but that changed mid-way through the round. All went well on the Orange, which we played from the "back" white tees. Course is in front of you and not too tricky. Greens and tees were in excellent condition, fairways and rough were recently cut, and I didn't have any issues with the bunkers (as noted by others' reviews). Greens were fast and firm! When we headed for the back 9, we were told instead to go to the White course, which was a long hike -- both to the holes and between the holes. Given that it was sunny and approaching the high 90's, I wish someone in the Pro Shop had offered us a cart since we got pushed to this side while they prepped the Black for an upcoming tournament. We did get a ride to the White course from the friendly starters, but no one made the suggestion that we take a cart. That being said, this was the only "hitch" in an otherwise pleasant experience. I would definitely take a cart for the White course! Here's the amazing thing though: $14 to walk 18 holes ... and we started play at 740 AM! A great deal and a good course!
A day at the beach
challenging course and fun. The course is in great shape. Friendly staff
Really like Keith Hills
Keith Hills is a hidden gem and a great value for the money. The only downside is that it's a 30-40 minute drive from Raleigh. I really like the white course.
Good value for the money
Overall, good value for the money. Clubhouse and restaurant/snack bar is a little outdated, but in general the facilities are well kept. Nice practice area with many targets to choose from. Staff was courteous but not overwhelming. Course was in good condition and professionally set up with no gimmick pins and GUR and drop areas clearly marked. Course is not overly long, but there is a premium on accuracy off the tee to make up for it. Would definitely go back for play on a weekend morning as it is a good value.
Beware - Sand Traps with No Sand
Greens are like hitting concrete, nothing holds and there is gravel (not sand) in the sand traps. Bring your old clubs or your new expensive clubs will be destroyed. Ok layout, staff seems preoccupied,
Orange black course review
The greens were like concrete and would not hold any shot coming in no mater how high. Sand traps were not fair you could hit 2-3 inches behind the ball and it would blast the ball like you picked it clean. I will not be back anytime soon. It was not worth what we paid to play
good value
golfnow discount made round very nice whats the deal with foot golf
Hard greens
The course was in decent shape but I thought the greens could use some water. Very hard, no ball marks from approach shots to the green.
Greens on White Course are fantastic
Golf Course is in better shape than most in the area coming out of winter conditions. We played Black 9 then the White 9. The White 9 was in fantastic shape. Greens on the White course as good as any I have played this year.
