Auburn Valley Golf Club

Very tough course, greens very fast and difficult to read. Good course for above average golfer.

Fun course in beautiful area in auburn. Open fairways and well maintenances greens

Auburn Valley is an enjoyable, challenging course. Conditions are standard for typical munis in the area. Greens are tricky and local knowledge is a good thing. They're semi-private, and upon arrival we were told that the range balls on the range were for members only, and we would have to buy range balls. Given that, the cost and the distance, next time I will pass, and select a closer, less expensive track. Want players to drive to you? Make it worth it.

Course in good shape all the way around. Nice wide fairways, greens are difficult to read. Pace was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.

Course was in great condition and not too crowded. Greens were in really good shape. Best bang for your buck in the Sacramento region.

We got to the course 30 minutes early and were told we would be teeing off 10-15 minutes later than our tee time. 40 minutes after our tee time we finally got to tee off. Apparently, there was a small tournament scheduled that was running late.

We then spent 10 minutes after every hole waiting to play the next hole. After almost 6 hours, we ended our round on the 15th hole and drove back to the club house to leave.

Great course but showing its age. Like a lot of golf facilities these days, reduced play means reduced revenue. Hope they are able to fix her up!

I believe they have had a rough time recovering from the winter storms but it looks like they are gaining on it. They should be all caught up in a couple more weeks.

Played today from the blue tees. Missed 5 fairways by 3-5 yards into the very long wet rough. Lost 3 balls just off the fairway as there is copious amounts of cut grass clumped throughout the course and the wet 4 inch rough. Miss a fairway wedge it out if you find it.

I’ve played Auburn Valley over the years and haven’t seen this before. Couple that with the normally firm sloping green complexes and a mid handicapper like me will feel like he should take 2 weeks off then quit.

Big clumps of grass left in all areas near each fairway. Very long grass

Course was in pretty good condition and the greens were very nice. Back 9 is beautiful and a wonderful layout. Friendly staff and an overall good experience.

The course over all in great shape, some spots a bit too soggy! The lawn mowers were still out well past 0900, which was distracting. Pace of play after 5th holes was really slow. On the back had to skip a hole, just to get around a group talking 20+ mins. per hole. Is there no Marshall?

I am anxious to play the course again after my maiden round

Pretty good shape for the month of August

Played with 3 buddies, had a great time. Greens are super-fast, very tricky. Stay below the pin! Lots of elevation change and slope-y lies. Grass driving range--nice! Only complaint is a fair number of wet, marshy patches. Very scenic course. Saw a family of bobcats on #13! Got a special--for $29 this was an awesome value.

Course is in the best condition I’ve seen this year. Greens were lightning fast and in great condition.

Course was in great shape and the pace of play was awesome!!!!
