Drove 200 miles to play but it was well worth it to enjoy golf

75 bucks way too much for any course in this area!! I don’t mind paying 50 on a weekday!!

Opened in 1999, this Robert Trent Jones Jr. design winds its way nicely through the foothills in Auburn. The areas diverse landscape is a great canvas for memorable layouts.

Four sets of tees gives golfers a few options as to how much golf course they want to take on. The tree lined fairways are generous in width and the greens will exercise your putting skills. In addition to the elevation changes you will find smart bunker placement and numerous water hazards.

Course conditioning is very good. The practice facilities include a driving range and an excellent putting and chipping area. The service provided in the pro shop and restaurant was attentive and cordial. I played The Ridge twice during my visit to the Sacramento area.

I have played this course several time over the last 10 years. It is challenging but fair and fun. It has plenty of slope but the conditions are always better then average.

I recommend it.

This course is one of my favorites, despite its difficulty. Fairways and greens are typically always in great shape, but the bunkers are a little hit & miss regarding actually having sand in them. Some have a surface closer resembling the infield on a softball field than sand on a beach.

I would play here more often, but it's a little out of the way, and typically more expensive than comparable courses in Roseville/Lincoln/Rocklin which are closer to home.

Fun and challenging course. Was in great shape for anytime of year but amazing for February with having no rain for a month.

I've played a lot of courses in Northern CA and I've never been disappointed playing The Ridge. Every time I've played this course it's always in great condition. The course will provide every level of golfer a challenge and each hole has a different look to it. The greens are challenging and roll true. I will make the drive to play this course, because it's beautiful and it's that good. If your looking for a nice experience without having to drive hours to play, I highly recommend The Ridge.

Overall the course was in great shape. I’ve never been disappointed playing at The Ridge. From the layout to the condition, it’s about the experience of playing on a course that doesn’t cost you hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend playing this course if you’ve never experienced it.

The course is challenging but fair for all skill levels. Winter conditions were pretty good overall also. The bar staff after the round leaves a lot to be desired. This is the 4th time I have had issues getting service in the bar after the round.

Challenging design, great condition for this time of year. Fast greens, perfect fairways and greens. Best course in the area at a reasonable price!

My family has a great (albeit long) day at the ridge today. Because of the winter wetness it was cart path only and resulted in a 5 hour 10 minute round. The good news is that everyone was slow including us so there wasn’t a lot of waiting around. For a few days away from

New year the course was in great condition and we enjoyed the cool and sunny weather.

The cart lady was extremely nice and all of the staff was friendly. At the turn we grabbed a few Jax bacon burgers with garlic fries. Oh so good, but probably cost me a couple strokes.

The greens are fast and brutal for a Bogey golfer and humbled me all day.

Overall a wonderful day and we will definitely be back in the drier season for another round.

Ever since moving to the Greater Sacramento area in 2016 I try to play different courses around the region...and every time I keep finding myself back at the Ridge! The price is right (often on golfmoose, hard to beat) and the facility is always great! Greens are kept well, tee boxes are great, fairways, when I find them, are solid. Love playing the ridge, and looking forward to our next trip up the hill!

I love this course, its a good challenge for my skill level and the course is always in great shape!

Best course in Sacramento area IMO. Elevated tee boxes, good views, true greens. Top of my list, fo sho!

Great facilities, very nice course. Held annual company tournament here in September and was very happy with the event. The greens continue to baffle me!!
