The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

Played on a Sunday, and finished in four hours, which was amazing. Challenging course for sure, something I always seek in selecting a golf course. Great conditions for both fairways and greens. Facilities are first class, fod in the restaurant is amazing, and the staff is the best. Great value for the money and alway worth the drive from Lincoln, CA.

The course is a relatively short distance from a major freeway, and in a hilly region of the Greater Sacramento area, about 90 minutes from Lake Tahoe. While it's conditions are typical of drought-sensitive California, it's still interested really good shape. The fairways are wide, but deceptive; with very scenic, rocky dry creek, manmade lakes, and heavy -brush out of bounds areas, better be accurate or else. The greens right now are a pot slower than I suspected for the temperature. Careful or you'll be frustrated at how many putts you'll leave short. The clubhouse is beautiful. I'd be surprised if this joint doesn't make most its revenue off weddings and special events. The staff were pretty polite and friendly. pace of play was right at 4.5 hours. That's saying something on a holiday weekend, with no marshal anywhere to be found. I will absolutely be back.

Look at the building diagonally to your right as you are leaving. That is where they make the statues.

Perfect day. Started on time. Had some great shots as well as some not so good shots. Overall it was a great day for my brother-in-law and myself.

Very disappointed the course did not have a marshal. They had some type of 2 man scramble before our group and allowed the last group to have 6 players. Golf Now should have had an alert to this. One o'clock tee time and didn't finish till 6:45 pm. Would have played somewhere else if I had known. If they had a marshal, they might have also known there was a broken water line near the 15th green. With the drought, this is totally unacceptable. Go play somewhere where they care a little more. On the plus side, it is a nice course and the cart girl was very nice.

Some good some bad. Aerated some of the fairways and greens seemed a little bumpy on some greens. Otherwise challenging but very fair course.

This is a pretty challenging course with a lot of trouble. It is one of my favorite courses in the Sacramento and Placer County area. The course is always in good shape, and the pace of play is alway solid. My last round took a little less than 4 hours.

It was a beautiful day, not too hot. Played in about 4.5 hours. Walked as a single, paid a great rate of $20.

Only other comment is that there was no starter on the first tee, and it wasn't apparent that I was the only person with a 7:50 tee time. I eventually caught up and joined a twosome ahead.

Fun course with great views and lots of elevation changes. Greens, tee boxes and fairways all in excellent shape. There are some tight fairways, but quite fair. If you get the chance to try this track do it, lots of fun.

Always a challenge but still enjoyable. I will continue to come back.

Decided late Saturday to play a round of golf Sunday. Found a great price for The Ridge. They told me when I had arrived that the greens had been punched 3 weeks prior, but the greens were in pretty good shape. Very satisfied with every aspect of the course. Definitely a course you need to play.

Nice tract but very slow. Left after 11 holes. 3 groups on 1 hole. Never seen a marshall on the course to speed up pace of play.

I have driven passed this place for years. Never played it because it always looks super busy. I found a good price and decided it was time for a trip up the hill. The couse was aerated recently so no one was there. The place is beautiful. Even in "recovery" conditions, I had a great day. Fun and worth the drive.

Very good, always like this course. It is a little shorter than most but that's why I like it.

We always enjoy playing at The Ridge. The course is well maintained, the staff courteous and helpful and the course is difficult enough to challenge one's ability, but not so difficult as to take away the pleasure of playing.

Do to the aerification of greens back nine was closed for play, which caused a much slower pace the second time around when more players were coming on. Other than that course is a beautiful place to play.

Nice course, very nice scenery, good quality greens, well kept.

Had a fun round. Had golfed here before a couple years ago and the course greens were recently aerated, so I got a discounted rate. This was the first time I golfed here when the greens were in normal shape and it was very noticeable. I don't believe I have ever golfed with greens so fast, and with the course being normally tough it just added to its difficulty. Pace of play was great. Golfed 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours, fun and enjoyable.

Would like to enjoy the course at a 4hr pace the track is a great setting was spoiled by a 5 hr round

This is one of my favorite golf courses anywhere! A great deal of variation, no 2 holes are alike. The course is really fun, but the score can get ugly if you do not stay focused all the way around. Any hole can become an "other" quickly. The bunkers have been sanded with deep, fine sand which I find great to play out of on the geenside bunkers.
I love this place.
