The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

Great course. Play there all the time. They could really use a marshal when they are full. They allowed a couple of five-somes out, which is fine if they keep pace, but they didn't. Took my twosome 5 hrs to play a round. Could have used a marshal or the message system on the cart's gps to speed the slow groups up.

We are average golfers, but have been to some great courses. The RIdge was in great condition, friday afternoon few people, so pace was excellent. Did not use food service, so no comment.

Great weather to match a course in great shape.

Can always find more than yours on every green, but not as many as other area courses. Come on players fix'em it's easy.

One of the nicest courses I've played in quite awhile. Great layout, with spacious fairways, greens outstanding. Condition of tees, fairways, chipping areas and greens top notch. Only negative point some of the bunkers appeared to be washed out and hardpan. Wasn't in a bunker all day so can't rarte the sand condition. Green speed I'd rate as fast! I holed quite a few 6 - 10 footers since the greens rolled smooth and quick, also 3 putted a few. Carts have coolers and ice is available. Definate play if you get a chance and for the Hotdeal price it is a steal.

The course was in amazing condition. I had to change carts before playing, left my wallet in the other cart, the staff located my wallet an hr later and brought it to me with everything intact.

The Ridge is a beautiful and interesting course with the right amount of challenges. The course is fair, rewards good shots, and not so much if you hit poor ones. I look forward to the next round at The Ridge

Golf course in poor shape. Recently punched and greens were too long ,unmowed, and not top dressed
very well. All in all very disappointing, course very wet
in some places casual water everywhere. Some holes nearly unplayable

This is a very changlllening course but fun,the course and greens were under maintaince,greens all sanded heavy,lots of trouble if your an average or somewhat not a low handicap player,I found it fun even as a single,would have been better to pair with someone,and alot of green renovation or dressings,I liked it and will play again with someone with me,tough be ready,also had to rush due to fire reports near my home,so next time I'll slow down and have a better experience.

This is a quality course, challenging, but also very fun for average golfers. The afternoon price of $31 for 18 with a cart was exceptional for a course of this quality. I recommend trying it at least once, and I am sure you will return often. I will!

The course was in very good shape especially the greens. The people were courteous and customer oriented. The golf carts, at least the one we picked, are in less than acceptable shape and in need of a thorough cleaning.

We would return for the challenge of a good foothills layout.

The Ridge is a beautiful and majestic golf course with a challenging course set up! I played from the blue tees and all aspects of the game from tee drives, approach shots, short game, and putts were just awesome. Greens were in great condition!

The Ridge is a very good golf course with plenty of challenges. The fairways are tests of accuracy and planning with hazards on the sides and periodically crossing them. The greens are very fast and heavily contoured. It takes time to get used to these greens. It was hot but there was plenty of water available to drink. Don't forget to enjoy the scenery around you.

A good day of golf is always better at The Ridge. It's my favorite course. Drives must be accurate, approach shots must be spot-on, putts must be on line and speed is your best friend. If, mostly when, you get into trouble, it is difficult to recover there. It seems there's something (trees, water, sand or forced carries) in every place I want to hit the durn ball. Bring your A game. The longest tees there are more than I can handle. The course is in great condition and the greens are fast.

The fairways and greens were well kept and very scenic. Front desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. Cart girl drove past us the front nine without asking if we needed anything. Geese are a problem on this course.

Very fun and difficult course. The greens have different levels and can frustrate if you aren't on your game. The only reason I'm not giving this course a better review is because of the customer service, which could use a lot of work. We had to cancel our first tee time because we were given incorrect information when we booked it and they wouldn't honor that. Then, on the back nine, our cart started to malfunction. We called for another and it never came. Great course but they need to do a better job of running the place.

I'm a 15 handicap. The Ridge is very difficult and you will pay dearly for poor ball striking. With that said, I had an absolute blast and need to return asap.

I normally never write reviews but I have to say that this course is one of the best courses I've played in the Sacramento area. I live in the Bay Area and I have to say that this course is better than most of the courses there. The course is in fantastic shape, is definitely on the challenging side given the slope on many of the holes. This course has lots of bunkers and a good amount of water, creeks splitting the fairways, carry's off the tees and over greens as well. It was one of the most memorable courses I've played. Not only is this course amazing but the fee was so amazingly fantastice. We paid ($60) for four of us (two adults and two juniors) with a 3:10pm tee time. The pro shop is fantastic as well - super friendly and accomodating. I would give this place a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 to 5 - it's that good. I wished I lived closer to this place. Great job to The Ridge.
