The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

I wish someone would have told me they had just aerated and that the greens had so much sand they were like putting in a sand trap! I had taken a VIP client there and it was embarrassing! Not sure I will go back! Disappointed that golf now did not have a flag on the website that showed it just aerated! Not sure who made that mistake!

Got the good deal on green fees for a single on a thursday midday but when I got there the threesome I was gonna play with had a fourth. Got sent out as a single, went through one 4some on the fifth hole and then it was wide open. Good course in good condition, bring your A game.

It is a challenging course. You must drive straight or else you are in trouble. The only thing that I didn't like about the course is that there are bunkers that don't have enough sand in them. Thus, cart path only when the fairways are extremely dry and in excellent condition.

You definitely want to be below the hole when putting. Greens are fast and true. April 1st is scheduled green maintenance so keep yourself in the loop. Plenty of bunkers so bring a beach towel. Enjoy!

Course is in good shape, good pace of play and all around good day.

Very windy day but had a great time with my playing partner. Great course and very nice staff. Pace of play was moving and had a wonderful day.

Great course and challenging greens. Can't wait to play here again.

Second time I played this course.

You really need to stay below the hole on every green.

The greens were cut very short and are lightning fast. Almost like miniature golf. Not very friendly.

Bunkers were in bad shape. Looks like they are in the process of filling them with new sand.

Playing golf in the foothills is always a nice experience....this course is very nice, beautiful facilities, gps golf carts, and during late winter early spring it is really green and comfortable for playing golf. Love this place!

overall the course was in good condition. The greens rolled true and the fairways were in good condition also. Would recommend this course to anyone

This is one of my favorite courses in Auburn. We played this course two days after the thunder, lightening and rain. The car path only rule was in place, but I didn't find one section of the course under water or spongy from the rain. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were fast and firm.

Took a day break from skiing to head down to Auburn and check this course out. For early March the course was in great condition. It was afternoon on a Thursday so there was great pace of play. Overall this was a fantastic value and would highly recommend this to others to play.

Greens were fast fairways in great shape. Nothing was easy.

Our regular golf group got out to play away from our home track. Pro shop staff was friendly but not very informative ,ie if play was on time,etc. After warming up at the driving range and putting green,there was no starter or call up to the tee. We had to ask each group when their tee time was and then get in line. Our foursome had to follow a twosome and another twosome followed us. It would help if the staff or starter would pair up twosomes to improved pace and flow of play. The Ridge GC could definitely benefit from having a starter.

Course is in great shape. Fairways are mowed and quite lush for this time of year. Greens were very good and quite quick. Biggest problem is they do not marshall and the round was extremely slow.

This is one of the prettiest courses in the greater Sacramento area. Great challenge and great fun! Bring along a few extra balls.

Our group had a great time at the Ridge. If you have not played it then you should. Tee to green was not bad if you can hit the fairways which are actually fairly wide. Greens are in really good shape and run true but man they are pretty crazy. On 2 instances I was below the hole and putted up to about a foot past the hole and it proceeded to roll back past the hole and leave me a 3 footer back up the hill. Make sure you read your putt from both sides!!! Love the side by side par 5's with the rock trench in the middle. Very scenic and beautiful lay out. It is the kind of course that you stand on the tee and think about all the options. And make sure you play the right tees. I'm a 12 and played with some 20+ handicap and the white tees were recommended by the starter which was the right choice for the group. The 2 groups in front of us played the blues and judging where they were hitting their second shots from I think they would have enjoyed themselves a lot more playing forward a bit. This is what added to our long playing time. We played cart vs cart best ball skins and that took the sting out of the blow up holes for the guys. Get there early and use the practice putting area... pretty reflective of what you will see on the course. All in all a great time. We all want to play again.
