Playing first time, found it a bit challenging but enjoyed the round of golf.

Great early morning round . Fast pace and great conditions , fairways and greens are tight and rolling fast . Staff was friendly and efficient . Course is always challenging and fun .

Always fun to play the Ridge. It has most every challenge you could ask for....water, dog-legs, up hill, down hill, narrow fairways, generous fairways, length, it's got it all. I have never seen it crowded, but then again, I am retired and play during the week.

The course was great today. I read the previous reviews about pace of play and we were out in 3hrs/45min. The course is in great shape but the greens were surprisingly slow. I expected more on that front but I can't wait to go back. I live in Sacramento and its worth the drive!

Love this golf Mecca, if I would have had this growing up I'd be a lucky kid.

This course was in spectaculer shape and very challenging greens were in great shape

Could trim the longer grass, as known for having rattle snakes.

Nice course, good design, many great holes....BUT, there was no marshall. On the back nine we were waiting on every shot while the second group up from us took mulligans, multiple putts. We were close to six hours on the course. The couple playing with us had enough by 16 and left the course in a huff. We will not book the Ridge again.

Great course in great shape even after a shotgun tournament prior to my play. I struggled with 3s with several water shots in play from the blues. Lots of elevation changes on this fantastic course. Some narrow fairways kept the driver in the bag. I will be back!

Course difficulty made the play a bit slow, but aside from the greens, the course was in excellent shape. The green were slow and grainy, but had they been mowed, they probably would have been fine. Tees and fairways were in good shape.

I'm a big fan of this golf course. It requires every shot in the book and can challenge any skill level with multiple tee locations. The pace of play is unfortunately very slow at best. For some reason they let a twosome out on the course without carts who had no business trying to walk this course let alone play golf. No marshal to be found which made for a 5 hour round. Thank god the company was good in our foursome and there was plenty of water on the course. Bring plenty of balls and your patience if you play on the weekend.

Bring your A game. If you don't hit straight, you're screwed.

why anyone would play anywhere else for the money is beyond comprehension. great holes, no nonsense or trickery. for 30 bucks and less why would anyone play winchester for 75 dollars, with golf now all the auburn/foothill courses are a steal, thanx.

First time playing the course. Played on May 3rd in the afternoon. Played the tips. First of all the course is in great condition. Fantastic greens. Many sand traps guarding most every green but a manageable track. The greens are very undulated and the pins were tucked so they played very, very tough. Overall a great track in great shape. Price is VERY reasonable for the nice course.

Had a great time on my first visit. The course has beautiful holes with lots of topo changes. The greens are in excellent shape and challenging but not crazy. I will certainly make the 70 mile drive again to return!

It was my first time to play The Ridge. The golf course is very nice and beautiful. Nice mixture of flat and hilly holes. There is also an even mixture of easy, moderate and hard holes. I would advise to bring your "sand" game. The bunkers are very strategically placed. You must drive the ball well to play well here.

This course was very playable and in great shape, other than the greens had been punched about a month ago and appeared to not have been cut or rolled the day we golfed, so putts were very slow - we figured rolling about 6 or 7. Other than that, we both loved the course. Rated it in the top three we have played so far and will definitely be back.

The course has some challenging holes. There are narrow fairways, blind doglegs, rock ravines, water ball eaters, and rolling greens that are a hard read. Overall the course was fun to play. I would go back...especially with the great price I received through "Golf now"

We had a great time, started on time and enjoyed it very much.
Will diffidently play again
