Very challenging golf course and fun to play for good golfers.

when greens have not been punched, they roll smoothly. Course is usually in good shape. It does requires accuracy off the tees, and you can't be long on most holes.

Awesome Course

Course was in excellent condition, espcially the greens. The greens were one of the fastest I have played all year. I love fast greens.

Beautiful Course

Great course. Good condition. Tee boxes not too woman friendly. Back is much harder than the front. Tough greens.

Nice course

Greens were still recovering from recent aeration. Bumpy and a bit slow.

Play the ridge with a Golf Now deal.

This is a very challenging course with beautiful views and a great design. Its always in great shape and the people take care of you. I played just after airation so the greens were not the usual wicked fast. ( just fast ).
The only issue for the averasge golfer here is the high cost. So check for hot deals or visit after airation or play late in the day. I played for $18 wich is about 60% off the peak price.

A beautiful, sculpted course nestled in the Auburn foothills of the Sierra.

But for the fact that the greens were recently punched and difficult to put, the course was outstanding. The weather couldn't have been better for a fall round of golf.

New GPS system on carts is the best I've seen

The course is in good shape. The greens were arified and will be back in great shape soon. I've played here before and they do keep the greens in good shape. Like almost every course in the area the sand traps could use "real sand". Not the worst, just fairly average for the public courses in the area. If you drive the ball straight the course becomes much more friendly (then again, don't they all). Staff is great and the pace of play is fairly good. That's not to say there aren't those foresomes that screw it up for the rest of us. However if you call the pro shop or see a marshall (yes they are out there) they will correct it.

Front Nine Closed

We were not aware of the greens on the front nine sanded when we made our reservation. Then after checking in with the pro shop and getting our carts, we headed to the first tee for our 12:30pm tee time. As we were preparing to hit, a guy comes up from the maintenance shed and says "hey guys the front is closed. You have to tee off from the back." Pro shop personnel never said a thing! When we went to the pro shop on the turn they were rude to us when we inquired about do we play the back again or is the front open now.

Greens are a real challenge

Despite the pace of 5 hours this course was worth the trip. The greens are difficult but fun to putt. It's important to play the correct tee box because approach shots need to find the the correct part of the green in order to avoid three putts.

An excellent, up-scale course.

This is a real deal, very difficult course. Bunkers are critically
located. Fair amount of water. Heavy penalty for missing the green. Everything about the course is up-scale! This is almost a private club experience We played our e-club tournament there and had a great if challenging experience.

Too Slow & Too Many Groups Of 5

I can understand if you have a group of 5 and the starter wants to be nice, but when the course is backed up and behind you need to be smart.

Having two groups of five and within our sights in front of us is bad business. especially when your round is over 5 hours long.

They need to spread the course out somehow or possibly get a marshall on the weekends

Bad management due to such slow play.
The Director or Head Pro needs to fix this.

Awful round of golf. The twosome that joined us didn't even finish there round.
