Oak Hills Golf Club
About
Oak Hills Golf Club sits near the state capital but it doesn't feel like it's located in a city. It has a peaceful and picturesque setting. The golf course rolls across gentle hills studded with oaks, pines, and beautiful dogwoods. Some of the greens are rather undulating and a few are elevated as well. Most holes are framed by trees or water. There are some challenging holes but the layout doesn't present anything too intimidating for beginners. The golf course finishes with one of its most memorable holes. From the elevated tee on this par 5, golfers will get a panoramic view of nine different holes.

very nice course
well maintained course, friendly staff ,and courteous golfers.Would like to play this course again and would recommend it to anybody.
Had a great time
This was the best shape I've seen Oak Hills in!!! I haven't played here in a while. But I'll be back soon.
great shape fun course
Course was in best shape I've seen it in awhile. Fairways were green and ran great. Greens rolled smooth and true. Only thing I could say that the bunkers needed some work. Bunkers were groomed nicely, but had a great deal of rocks (not pebbles, bigger) in them. Also Club recently redone the faces, but with all the rain recently the faces have caved in. Need to either shored them up with timer or stacked sod. All in all great time and great value..
Good Course
It was a good course and I enjoyed playing it. This was my first time playing it and I look forward to my return.
Nice course, slow play.
Nice course, slow play. Slow players wouldn't let you play thru.
Course great
I had a great time will a gentleman I just can't wait to play their again
Good shape!
Oak Hills is one of my favorite course in the Midlands. No houses, tree-lines fairways, pristine scenery. Despite all the rain lately, the course drains well and we were not hampered by standing water or muddy balls. Greens were in great shape, but hard and fast. Little to no rough at OH, as the terrain seems to be rather rocky, but not much can be done about that. If you're in the rough, just find a nearby patch of grass and save a scar on your club.
Loved the layout of the course. Slow greens.
Beautiful semi-private course. Nice layout.
The greens were slow, which was the only thing that needed improvement.
Great Course
Course was Fantastic in spite of all the rain the area has had. Played great, greens were fantastic and course overall was awesome. Super value through golfnow, would definitely play this course agin when in the Columbia area.
Course is in good shape. A little wet from all the rain but seems to drain well.
I find the layout challenging and score-able at the same time. There is a handful of holes that require a strategic approach. Spray your tee shot and there's little chance for par, however fairways on most holes are wide enough to keep you safe. There is some water throughout the course that come into play on your approach shot. Conditions, tee to green, are very good; well manicured. Oak Hills is a regular, multi-play course for me. Good value for money.
Great value for the money
Nice course that is friendly to all levels of play. A few challenging holes but nothing to difficult for the average player. Played after a night filled with rain and the course was soggy in spots and some of the traps showed signs of erosion. Had the first tee time of the day and was able to play in 3 hours.
I can say that the golf ball always sit up nicely on the fairways.
The golf course is very nice. I will always be ready to play at the Oak Hills Golf Clubs. The carts were the quiet movers, so the sound was always about the surroundings of nature. I know if you enjoy 1st class like I do, this course will put you there in reality.
Finally Broke 100
I have played this course a number of time. I find the greens challenging, the fairways are great, just enough trouble to keep you honest. My best round prior to this was a 102, Today I finally shot a 93, my best round here...
Good value
Good course for the money. Friendly staff and maintained course. Overall great time.
Greens had been plugged
I enjoyed the course, and have played it several times. The greens had just been plugged/sanded, and so true putting was more difficult. I don't know if it's possible to know when a course on your schedule has had the greens plugged, but that would be nice to know. Thanks!
great layout
i have played here before, has a great layout, the fairways are in great shape
Staff was very rude, especially the guy who checked us in!
Very rude, especially the guy who checked us in. He did not like the fact we used golfnow.com. The course was empty, and he would not let us take off early, I could have understood if it was full, but there were 4 cars in the parking lot! They also forgot to inform us that they just aireated the greens, and they were horrible!! Should have asked for our money back, but I would rather just not play there again. Course used to be a nice place to go every once and awhile, but I will surely inform everyone I know of this horrible experience!! Oak Hills, you guys have got to do better than that! There are at least 20 golf courses in the Columbia area that would rather take my money, I am sure of that!
The course was in good condition and we enjoyed playing it--hope to be back
The course was well maintained and presented good challenges
Average
Can't really complain about the course condition, seemed to be in decent shape. Greens were extremely tough to keep anything on from approach, but putted pretty slow all day, was really weird. Other than the guy in front of us hitting 6 balls to get to the green, it was fairly paced, can't blame that on the course. Overall, average, would play again.
Course in great shape
Tees, fairways and greens were in great shape with challenging pin positions. One of the best values golfnow.com offers
