About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult.The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

New go to course
Love the course, great shape. Group behind us were jerks, hit into us two times. But not the courses’ fault.

Pace of play issues
No carts were available when we arrived, many holes had backups. The course was decent, but nothing that made us say wow. All in all we had a good time but it was probably the slowest round we played all week.

Slow Play
A five hour round. Despite presence of course marshall’s, no sign that they cared to push slower players.
The greens were in rough shape, but reasonably fast.
Fairways were in “reasonable” condition that reflected the lower green fees compared to other Myrtle courses.

Good short course
Enough of a challenge to keep most people happy. Short but tricky. Greens have not grown in yet but are ok.

Pace of play too slow
The first 9 took almost 3 hours. We waited for almost every shot. Greens weren’t in great condition, but course was not bad considering time of year. Would pick a different course next time. Although we did play for a decent price.

no carts
We had to wait 25 minutes after our tee time to get a cart. Batteries died after 9 holes had to get a new cart and there were none, got the employee cart. Many groups waiting for carts at that time also. Many groups teamed up as course was slow. Lots of water on a very short course. Needs lots of work around the course, cart path so bad it could loosen your teeth.

Nice course/friendly people
We were looking for a place to play that didn’t cost over$100+ per person and we found this gem. All the staff was friendly as were other golfers. Course was in nice condition for the time of year. We were pared up with gentleman from the area and wa all had a nice time.
We would definitely go back!!

Greens and rough need work
Greens were inconsistent and had stray grass sprouting through them. Speed was all over the spectrum. Traps were over full of sand more than 6-8 inches on average. Miss the fairways and you had a 50/50 chance of finding any grass. Played this track many years ago and time and new owners have not been kind.

Short but tricky
Course was in typical shape for this time of year. It needs a little more time to grow in. I found the couse short but difficult. There were a lot of times I felt like the architect tried too hard to make things difficult. Many of the green approaches left you guessing where to go. I think you need to play this course more than once to get a feel for the lay out.
