About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult.The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Okay course, but there are much better in the area…
Greens weren’t in great shape when we played recently, but expected this late in the year. Tight, short course where tee shots are really important. Water on several holes and bunkers are in okay shape. For $30 hot deal, I’d pay again, but not my first choice.

Hurricane clean up still in progress. Cart paths are in poor shape, may need chiropractic care LOL

Needs a refresh
The course is fun to play but the condition is not the best. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Cart paths are terrible. Fairways and greens are just ok. Lots of water hazards. Plays very quickly if you get lucky and not stuck behind large groups. It's a 2-3 star course but that's reflected in the fees. I'll play it again for sure.

Eastport - in much need of TLC
Greens were very good…everything else, not so much. This course needs an investment of $$$ to put necessary improvements in.

Nice course, Excellent Value
Played The Valley a few months ago and the greens were pretty bad. This time they were in great shape and fast. This course is challenging for an amateur (me), much better than some of the other courses here in North Myrtle Beach. Thanks to Military Tee Times for the great deal.

Disappointed.
Booked outing via Golfnow using my credit card. I was charged the $8.00 booking fee. I arrived on time and paid the outing in cash. 1 week later I received an email that due to late arrival I was charged the full outing on my credit card. I alerted the CC company to block payment as this was a fraudulent attempt to double collect on an unsuspecting customer. Someone in the club house has their hand in the cookie jar. Tried to call the clubhouse several times, no response. I will never patronize this course again.

Well maintained.
Would recommend starting late morning, because there were some mosquitos bugging us with a 9:40 tee time.

The Valley is my favorite MB course.
I like it because the course is very well maintained, has some very challenging holes, is easy to arrange a tee time, and is a good value ($$$$).
