The Valley at Eastport Golf Club

This was a fun course made even better by very flexible staff. I arrived early for my 7:00am tee time. They open at 7:00 and the cart coordinator was extremely helpful. He let me know the guy I was paired up with got out early and let me go out early as well. The pro shop wasn’t open quite yet, so I paid at the turn. Easy peazy Len squeezy. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. The carts were electric and quiet, but lots of power scooting around the course. My only niggle, would be about the cart paths, which were rather haphazard, but for the price, quality and staff friendliness, it is more than acceptable. I would happily play here again next time I’m in Myrtle Beach. Oh, the water. It’s pretty much everywhere. It ate a couple of my balls, but that was on my, not the water. Knowing the course now, I think I could avoid giving any more balls to the golf gods.

Overall The Valley at Eastport is a very good golf experience. The greens are nice, tee boxes are good with decent fairways. Fairways although somewhat dry can give a good roll if hit properly. Thanks for an enjoyable round.

Not long and places a premium on control. A lot sneaky water holes will keep you on your toes

My husband and I played 18 holes for the first time while visiting Myrtle Beach. We are not very experienced golfers and found this course to be challenging. The course is nice and was worth the deal of $64.00 total for the two of us.

The staff at the desk were very nice. The gentleman who was working the cart area was different. He was helpful and told us the layout of the course along with the most challenging holes which was very much appreciated. But, while we were getting everything together for our game (getting golf balls and tees from our bags and placing them in the cart and puttimg our golf gloves on, he made some strange comments. I guess he thought we were moving too slowly and asked if we were going to the beach or playing golf, etc. Maybe he was trying to be funny, but it hit us as being a little strange. Overall, we were very pleased and would play this course again

Nice course. Greens were dried out and brown. May look better later in the year.

First of all, the course was in good shape. The greens are in great shape. It is more like a links style course, The only issue I had was the pace of play. I am no pro by no means, but a round should not take 5 and one half hour to play.

Staff were very friendly, played with my wife, we actually got mixed up on the 13th hole and went to the 9th, when we noticed our mistake we rushed to get behind the people we were following, the we got behind some people that were following us, my wife and I decided that we would just play a best ball just we wouldn’t hold anybody up, that was until a guy behind came up with little man syndrome, I tried to explain that we were only playing 1 group behind and he wasn’t listening to that, so we went up and played in front of the 3 guys and never seen the little man again

Fairways and roughs in winter condition. Sand traps in excellent condition. Greens rolled true, were medium speed but were not soft enough to hold the approach shot.
