Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.

Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult. The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Overall the course was in good shape. The greens ran true. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. A couple of suggestions which improve play. There is a shortage of bunker rakes for the number of bunkers. Each bunker should have a rake which they don't. On some holes there is only one rake for three or four bunkers. To help with morning play they should start groups on both sets of tees as other courses do. My wife and I enjoy the course but a few small items would improve our experience.

Great course

We vacation in Myrtle beach each year and Valley at Eastport

Is now one of our favorite courses. From the moment you unload your bag to the pro shop, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Course is in good condition, some greens need repair but overall a nice course. Play was a little slow, and we had to wait on some holes, but all in all a really nice day. We will definitely be back next year.

We love the Valley at Eastport

It was raining quite hard at our 7:30 tee time. But that's okay as it meant the course wouldn't be packed - it wasn't. We've played here before and enjoy it. It's reasonably priced and has some challenging holes (water, water, water) that force you to play smart ... I'm still working on that. We'll come here again. For sure.

From Virginia Beach

We thought the course played well. Greens, fairways and bunkers were in good shape. Greens specifically were well maintained. If there was anything to complain about it would be cart path but honestly we didn't have an issue with unimproved areas.

Lots of water and sand traps, it was a challenge course. Completed round in 4 hours. Would play again for sure.

Golf at Eastport

This is a great par 70 course. There are some tough par 4’s but overall a nice course for the average golfer. A few of the greens are a little rough with some blackened areas. The fairways are in great shape. We try and play this course when we come to the area on vacation

We make a point to play this course every time we visit North Myrtle Beach. It is a fun layout at a reasonable price.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

We played 4 other courses this week on fall break and tried to play this course We only played 7 holes before we was so sick about the course conditions that we left. The tee boxes are terrible and the greens are the worst we played all week. I feel sorry for the people who this is their home course because if they played any courses around them they wouldn’t play this one again. The greens are half dead and black Pitiful. They should be ashamed to charge what they do to play this course !!! No starter , slow play , terrible greens I don’t recommend this course at all

Good course,Great value

We enjoyed and would highly recommend it to anyone from beginners on up.

A few of the holes on coming in(back nine)were hard to recognize and we found ourselves hitting to a wrong green, maybe just playing for first time but still abit confusing.

All and All a nice course to place your shots play your game.
