Wachesaw East Golf Club

A friend and I were looking for a quick round before ending our vacation. I picked this course because of the price and the location. After booking the round I saw some of the reviews about the condition the course had been in earlier in the year. So, I wasn't sure what to expect.

From the minute we arrived the staff was all very friendly and customer oriented.

Because of a recent storm the course was cart-path only. A lot of the fairways were very wet. But, even considering that, they were in excellent condition (no ruts, no tire tracks, no clumps of wet grass). The greens were also in great condition. they were dry, ran quick and true. This was our 5th course in 5 days and was probably in the best condition of them all.

The layout is really scenic. There are a lot of water and bunker features which don't really come into play but add to the picturesque views.

We liked the course a lot and were very pleased from beginning to end.

I had the pleasure of playing this course and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard the course was in bad shape but I found it much different. The course was in fabulous condition, the pace of play was great and all the staff was extremely friendly. I would certainly recommend this course to anyone!! Brian was especially friendly!!

Friendly staff, great conditions after rain all day the previous day. Layout better than tidewater.

A couple friends and I came to Myrtle for a golf trip and played Wachesaw because of the awesome staff. First time playing the course, and although cart path only because of the tropical storm, it was still in GREAT shape. Greens rolled true, fairways and rough were well drained and manicured, and overall just a really fun course to play. Disappointed I haven't played it before this trip and definitely will be back.

The course is in great shape! From the bag drop to the pro shop to the grill, the employees are treated me professional yet fun. Kevin and Curt at the bag drop were very friendly and courteous. Brian in the pro shop was very friendly as well, and treated me like royalty as well as my guest. THE COURSE WAS IN PRISTINE SHAPE!!

The green at Wachesaw Plantation East have made wonderful recovery. I highly recommend this course. Great layout. You will need to hit an extra club here due to sea level elevation.

Though the course was in bad shape in the beginning of the year it has recovered nicely, back to being a great course to play!

Greens were in rough shape this past Spring due to excess rains last Fall. I play it often due to proximity to my home. The greens and the course now have come back nicely. Give it a try, you won't be disapointed. A good value on the South Strand.

When I played in the early part of the year the greens were in bad shape do to a very bad storm, but are 100% better now and I think by the end of the summer I'll be rating them excellent. I'm glad I gave the course another try !

The course was not in the best shape after the 100 year rain, but you have to hand it to the staff for bringing it back to last summer's condition. Don't miss the chance to play.

Staff was great, fairways we in great shape, some greens had damage it's been a really hot summer nothing more than 3/4 of the courses at MB. Definitely will play again.

Course has recovered from a bad winter! All greens are in good shape and putting well! Fairways are in excellent shape. Would recommend to all that played this course 3 months ago to come back and see it now!

Pro shop staff, bag drop people and the grill staff are the best.

We will be back. The maintenance crew has done an outstanding job getting this course back in great condition.

I have always loved playing this course until they lost some greens in the spring so decided to give it another chance and I was pleased to see the greens back and the course is in great shape. Enjoyed it.

Wachesaw East was in great shape before the "hundred year" rain last October. Based what I saw today I would say it is back and will soon be excellent again. We played the ball down with no problem and almost all of the greens are now fully repaired and rolling great. Friendly staff and great practice area.

Friendly staff and good food and drinks in the Pub

Showed up to play the day before and was told that the course was closed for maintenance. Had to find another place to play that day at another nearby course, Indigo Creek that was in awful condition. It should have been closed. The greens were so bad that it wasn't a fair test of golf.

Thank goodness for a friendly staff! Golf now did not let me know greens were punched. However the staff was up front and gave me a discount off the golf now rate. 5 stars for the course and staff. 2 for golf now on this one.
