Santee National Golf Club

Santee National is truly a splendid golf course, especially considering the price is one of the most reasonable prices in the low country. If your driver is your main weapon, beware. The front night has a few dog like that will take it out of your hands, but overall it lulls you into a sense of security with wide-open fairways. However, the back nine will test your decision making skills with several drastic doglegs that make the driver difficult to hit. In addition to the hard right and left hand turns, trees are much more prevalent along the edges of the rough. Some of the greens on both sides have drastic slopes that don’t look terrible from the Teebox but how much more intimidating up close. Course conditions were very nice and my experience with the pro shop staff was positive. I really look forward to playing this course again to get some redemption on some of the holes. I wish I had done better on.

This course was in great shape. The layout was exceptional. Don't miss this course if you have a chance to play it.

Great Value Great Condition and Very Friendly Staff and Snack Bar Staff

We've had so much rain in our area that our local courses have been wet with cart path ony conditions. We were pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case here! The course was in great shape, greens were fast and we practically had the course to ourselves. The gentlemen in the pro shop couldn't be any nicer! We will be back!

Layout B+, Conditions A, Pace A, Carts A, Cart Paths C, Staff A

Course was in excellent shape. Fairways and greens were good, tee boxes good. Layout was nice (lot of doglegs holes though). Pace of play was good.

Only complaint would be the excessive bugs/gnats. Maybe its the location or time of yr but we played other courses in the area where the bugs were not as bad.

My son and I played this course with one of his friends. We enjoyed our round and played at a good pace. Staff was friendly and the range and course were in good shape. Greens were soft because a lot of rain the previous day but they rolled well and were in very good shape. We will definitely play again.

In super nice condition, played two different days first day was able to start a few minutes before tee time, had one guy in front of us but he played super fast, we had nobody behind us to worry about and there was atleast 10 different employees out maintaining the course from raking bunkers, rolling greens, blowing off greens, cutting grass, trimming around the greens etc it was awesome , the 2nd day playing not as much employees out but had a group of 6 go out in front of us and they even kept pace of play up and we hardly had to wait. I will definitely play this course again best course within 45 minutes

Was able to go to Santee national twice the last few weekends because of the amazing hot deals. Have enjoyed both times. The greens have been aerated so the putting is a little difficult sometimes, but thoroughly enjoyed both times playing here. Would highly recommend.

Good overall value due to the greens being aerated the day before. But course was wide open due to that.

Santee National is always in great condition. Even though there were aerating the greens the greens were still in fine shape. The friendliness of the staff never goes away. Fairways were nice and lush. Tea boxes also in great shape.

Fair challenges on many of the holes. Well taken care of .. I will definitely play again when in the area. Highly recommend.
