#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

Decent
Decent course with odd layout of holes. The par 3 and 5 are grouped close together or back to back. The course has some age but the entire area never developed and built houses. Fairways and tee boxes has been over seeded but theres been no rain in a really long time. They do have irrigation i was told. Can be a tough course to score well.
Greens was in good shape. Carts on path and rough grass only until grass grows in fair ways
Overall, a great course. However, the fairways were patchy and dry. (Mowed to short?). Very playable, but not the well room fairways that we had encountered in the past.
The Pearl is a Gem
We played 9 holes here years ago and decided to play 18 on this trip to Myrtle Beach. It's a beautiful course, like playing in a nature preserve. Not a house in sight, just trees and marshes surround the holes. Tee boxes and fairways were in very good condition, and greens rolled smoothly and quickly. The price seemed fair for such a fun round (West to East courses).
Only negative is that they really need to replace their aging golf carts - ripped seat upholstery and balky accelerator pedal.
Great course
This was by far the best course we played in the area in this price range.
The course is very scenic and the greens were in great condition.
The staff was also very pleasant.
I will play here more than once next time we are here.
Course was in good shape but the greens had some patchy dirt spots. I would have thought for $85 the greens would have been better.
Great Conditions
Course is in great condition. Greens rolled true, albeit quite fast. Definitely recommend.
Mosquitoes were brutal; definitely need bug spray.
Nice track. Tough greens.
Enjoyed playing The Pearl. We played West/East combination. Greens were very good condition, tee boxes a little too shaggy in my opinion. Fareways predominantly good but some very wet spots from tropical cyclone that came through last week. Several of the pin positions were nasty hard…right on edges of slopes. 3 putted way more than normal which was painful to the score. Overall would recommend playing…good value for the quality of the layout.
First time playing
Beautiful place to play me and my dad really enjoyed ourselves can’t wait to come back.
Enjoyed my round at the Pearl
First time playing the course and I was pleased with condition. However, cart paths need some work. Beautiful layout with close rough that was woods or high grass. Warned to be cautious in high grass - poison ivy and snakes, but saw neither of them.
I would compare this course to Sand Piper Bay across the road. Sand Piper was in better shape, equal in setup and length, but the fee was $15 LESS at sandpiper Bay and you get a small bag of balls to warm up there free.. all in all I would recommend Sand Piper Bay to a friend over the Pearl.
Anoter perfect day
We love this course. The layout is challenging, but allows you to score with good shots. The greens were in very good shape and rolled true. The fairways and tees were good, the staff is friendly, and the wether was perfect. A great day.
