Rio Pinar Golf

It’s been dry in central FL and the course shows it. Non-sprinkler fairways and tee boxes so very thin. And greens a little rough. Playable but not in best shape.

Greens had patches of weeds growing on them very poor putting surface, fairways had very little grass on them not worth the $55, pleasant and helpful staff, nice layout it’s a shame course conditions so poor.

The course conditions were very dry, but Florida is experiencing a very hot dry February

The layout is traditional. Fairways are generous and greens are challenging but fair.There’s apparently no irrigation for the fairways, so it’s probably more enjoyable in a rainy season.

Course was really good. Only negative was pace of play. We were going on one after the other and yet it was slow. Not sure what the time is between starts but I’d allow a few more minutes so that we are not waiting at each hole or even waiting mid way on a par 4.

I enjoyed the challenge of playing a former professional golf tournament course. Although the tuff was far from great condition (maybe due to the time of year - late Feb.) the round was still enjoyable. The layout is challenging. The tee box options were matched with with suggested skill level. You need to have a good "Driver Day".

The staff made one feel welcome.

The clubhouse has a great selections of crackers there’s tons of dusty sand on the front 9

The staff & course was great. Truly enjoy playing this course every time we make it out to Florida. A perfect day to end our vacation.
