Access was denied!

So we could not play the Fort Belvoir golfcourse.

Really enjoyed my time out on the Woodlawn course. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the course. The last time I played, I was on the Gunston course. Both courses are challenging and fun. Yesterday was my first time playing Woodlawn, and we had a wonderful time. The course was challenging and the pace of play was great. We actually played our round in 3 hours and 45 minutes. I will certainly play this course again.

Gunston golf course located inside Ft. Belvoir is quite challenging. It is very hilly, often times requiring players to pop their balls up onto the greens. Unfortunately, the greens had just been aerated, and the fairways were super dry. We 3 players were able to adjust in time. Gary?, the ranger this day, was very helpful and pleasant. Our server, Dawn, in the snack bar was amazing. She took time to visit with us as we sat at a lovely table next to the window as she took our orders quickly. Every chair was taken at the bar, and she was the only bartender. Our chili and order of fried mozzarella sticks were delicious so we can say the cooks are great. We definitely look forward to playing on this demanding course again and grabbing a bite afterwards.

To begin, the staff attempted not to honor the GolfNow rates. Blaming GolfNow, the staff member stated that they only honor the 1150 tee time reservation and that all other reservations were not valid. However, after some discussion, the staff member honored the price booked through the app, though the staff member was clearly angry with the situation. Not that bad of a situation when you consider I got the price I wanted, but that was only the beginning of my trouble on the course. The staff failed to mention that they just aired the greens and heavily, and I mean heavily sanded them. There were a few greens that might as well had been bunkers.

Additionally, pace of play was abysmal. Belvoir has two courses, however, only one was open due to maintenance and the staff decided that the day in which the course was operating at half capacity, it would be a great day to hold a scramble event for seasoned golfers. I was unable to finish my round, after four and a half hours, I retired on the 15th hole. Everything was poorly managed and if you are gonna attempt to charge competitive pricing then management needs to step up their game.

This is the first time I played a round and did not lose a ball or incur a penalty. The course was wet, no one in front of me or behind me and cart path only. I had an opportunity to work on some shots I would need throughout my round. The only problem was some of the greens were slightly damaged and I needed to move my ball. All in all, it was a good round.

Greens are splotchy, teeing areas bare and greens covered with debris.

The Woodlawn course was with spotty greens and a few greens were totally covered with debris. Conditions were not comparable to the cost with surrounding courses in NoVA.

Most of the Gates are closed. It's very difficult to get to the course. The course condition was ok. I played Gunston course which is very short. Didn't play the other one. It's around an hour drive for me, I won't be returning.

I will definitely play here a lot. Pricesare absolutely reasonable.

Absolutely horrendous. Whatever you can name that could be wrong with a course, check all the boxes!

1. Greens are atrocious, no grass in several areas, slower than your grandma’s shag carpet.

2. Bunkers are a joke, there are golf ball sized rocks in everyone of them. Ruin your club at your own expense.

3. Tee boxes have as much grass on them as the bunkers, might as well tee up from the cart path.

4. No discernible difference between fairways (what they call a fairway) and the rough. Haven’t they heard of different deck heights when mowing?

5. Tree sized weeds growing in the middle of the fairways. Hitting from the penalty area when you’re nowhere near the penalty area.

Please save your money and go play a “nicer” course like greendale or Andrew’s AFB. (Saying this lightly)

On July 12, my friend and I were refused to enter the golf course, Fort Belvoir Golf Club located in VA, USA. This is because we did not have required ID cards. When I made the reservation on July 10, I was not informed regarding the ID card policy.

I have booked the golf course several times, any course has not required an ID card.

If the Fort Belvoir Golf Course requires the ID card for entry, you must inform me of the ID policy of the golf course. In the end, we had no choice but to give up entering the golf course.

Additionally, the golf course's location on your confirmation email is totally incorrect. I spent a lot of time finding the golf course on the road.

I would be very grateful if you could provide a refund and reward.

Fairways are in much better condition after last week's rain.

The greens are in great shape, but the fairways and tee boxes were in bad condition. I got a great deal at GN.

course has not been watered, fairways burning out, rough full of clumps and burnt out.
