About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

This course is so bad.
All of fairways are like bare ground.
There is no lawn there but weeds.

Worst course I’ve ever played in my life!
The fairways had NO grass. It was a mix of weeds or large bare patches. Lost many balls hit in the middle of the fairway. The only nice thing about the course were the putting greens and the complimentary bright colored golf balls which I understood why they were provided. The course is in need of a reseeding. I don’t understand how these conditions can exist and players allowed to play.

Lives up to the hype
Price point is definitely too high for a course with no grass, but I guess that keeps people away. Tee boxes and greens were in good condition, and the starter gave us ample warning of the conditions.
My overall experience was 10/10. Would play here again.

Worst course I've ever played
The starter asked if we had read any online reviews, apologized for the condition of the fairways, and told us the course is going to be closed down. I'm shocked that I got an email asking for a review. The layout would be great if the course were legitimately playable but the conditions are embarrassing.

Everybody knows how Victoria can be if you’re a local and have visited this course many times. Always friendly staff, great pace of play, and unfortunately not the best course conditions. But playing yesterday the grass was growing and they did a complete renovation of flowers/plants bordering the holes! It was a great value and felt like the old Victoria that was before it felt neglected. Will definitely be back!

Terrible conditions
I’ve never played a course in worse shape. I’m talking multiple fairways that are mostly dirt patches. The fact that this even cost $40 is robbery

Skip this course
The practice facilities are good and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the course is on top of a land fill, which means there is 50 years worth of garbage just 2-3 feet under the fairway. Due to the toxic nature of this garbage grass does not grow on the fairways. It is one of the two or three worse courses I have ever played. Not the place for scorecard golf. I will never come back. IT's too bad because it's a nice layout. BUt the conditions of the course are horrific!!!

This is the worst course that I have ever played! THE WORST!! The course conditions are deplorable!! The fairways are majority dirt and mud! Was warned about this course but didn’t think it could be that bad. IT WAS!! This course does not need to be open!! CLOSE IT!! Until this course is repaired or new managers have bought this course and fixed it, it needs to be closed!!
It doesn't need to be closed. It is employing people. It also has a driving range. It's useful to some. If you don't like it, just stay away. I didn't like it when I played it but my review was one of potential and encouragement. It's the City of Carson's fault. Hundreds of golf course around the world have been built on landfills and have succeeded. This one just needs city council to give them the money to fix it.

Carson coarse
Fairways were awful. The greens were very nice.
It’s a shame because the coarse could be great.
The sand traps were like concrete. They matched the fairways. I lost 3 balls do to the high grass along the edges of the fairways. They need to punch holes and seed ASAP. Coarse was wide open. No one in front or behind us and we teed off at 8:00am on a Saturday. Now I no why
