About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

Unkempt condtions
Course has no grass and has gopher holes everywhere. Will likely never return and definitely not recommend to anyone.

Course is in pretty poor condition. Most of the fairways are dirt with very little grass, there are a bunch of gopher holes on almost every hole. The greens were pretty nice and soft and the course was nice and clean(no trash). Most likely due to conditions of course won't be returning any time soon.

No-grass Course
I believe we should hit a ball as is at the golf course unless we can free-drop by the book. About four fifths of this course is covered with dirt. About a fifth of the course is covered with grass but a half of that with weeds. In a word, you can see grass both in teeing grounds and greens, including aprons. Hence, your ball will land mostly in dirt. Your iron-shot skills will be brutally tested. I really hope to see how Tiger will hit a ball onto a green when it lies on dirt behind a sand trap. I strongly recommend you not play there UNLESS you practice as a pro before participating in the Open. The course was not that terrible in terms of condition about two years ago. No problem but the course condition! If you think seeing is believing, go for it. Still, I enjoyed the game today cause the course truly tested my skills but my playmate said he would never come again.

Horrible
This is by far the worst course I’ve ever played. It was $35 to play and wouldn’t pay $5. I do NOT and will always tell people how bad this course is. And you have people playing from back tees and can NOT hit the ball. Worse experience

Sadly, much deferred maintenance.
The course is mostly gopher holes and dirt where most courses would have grass on the fairway. The greens were fine, however. We had a cart and because of all the dirt mounds it was an extremely rough and bouncy ride. Balls that would normally be on the fairway grass were on dirt patches making it sketchy to hit and dangerous without grass to absorb the impact of your swing. The deferred maintenance of the course tells me management is not spending the needed money to maintain the course. I do not recommend playing here.

Condition of course
I NEVER played this BAD BAD condition course in my life. I felt like I was playing at construction site.
I wish I get money back. And we gave up playing at 3rd hole. There is no fairway and can not find the ball due to no fairway.

Where’s the Grass?
This is a dirt course, it has been worked on numerous times, but because it was built atop a landfill, the grass will not grow because of the gases being released through layers of garbage.

Needs work but great potential
The fairways are mostly dirty with very little grass. Lots of golf here holes as well. The greens were far and away the best part of the gold course. Every green was very well kept and challenging. Course could use a couple directional signs. Huge course with a lot of potential to be a great course

Get Ready for a bumpy ride
I liked the course set up, but the grass was very patchy and there were hundreds of ground squirrel holes. I think the course is part of a nature preserve or something. Very bumpy ride on carts. Lots of hard earth poking out which helps the ball bounce and travel farther but hard to hit off of. Try it out, it’s a challenging course because of the rough terrain.

Poor Coarse
Nothing but mud and dirt. Price for this poorly kept course is crazy. Golf cart voiced so badly everything almost fell off throughout the course. Horrible.

Sand Lot Golf Course
A waste of Money...every hole was a complete dirt patch. The old man in the clubhouse acts as if this Pebble Beach or Torrey Pines. $29 to play twilight not worth it at all. Complete waste of money unless all you care about is putting and dirtying your clubs with zero result. There’s more grass on the driving range. Can not say anything positive about this course, needs major renovations ASAP

The Links Victoria
I’ve played at this course multiple times before and this was the first time playing here since the pandemic but the greens and fairways are really really bad. It was hard to get a good hit because of how muddy, rugged and gophers holes there were. I use to enjoy playing at this course but for how much money I paid to play here was not worth it at all. The don’t offer any amenities either.
