Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Mustang Course

First time on Mustang course very well maintained and Greens were awesome

Nice staff and golf course was in good condition. Would recommend this course to all levels of golfers.

This is my first time doing a review on a golf course but my overall experience was terrible so I feel like I had to put this out there. When I first arrived at Lely, I was excited about the porspecr of playing the course. However, after loading up my bag and looking at the nice clubhouse, it was all downhill from there. My tee off was at 2:45pm. The pace of play was extremely slow throughout the entire round with no marshalls in site the entire time. There was a five some, yes 5 players playing together a few groups in front of us as well as a group of 4 seniors who could only hit the ball 30 yds, but refused to acknowledge us waiting or let us play through. One would expect for top dollar that a Marshall would be helping to keep the flow going and keep the pace of play up, but nope, didn't see one the entire day. Furthermore, the conditions were absolutely terrible. The grass on the tee box was longer than the rough, and there was no differnce in length between the fairways and the rough. It felt like every shot was being hit out of the second cut of rough. Yhe bunkers were well groomed and the greens were decent as well so no idea why the rest of the course is not kept up to shape. I would not reccpmend this course to anyone, there is far better value for money to be had in the Naples area, and if spending top dollar like this course charges you can do far better!

Lely put too many golfers out. Several groups combined into five somes & the par3s became gridlock.

Wide open boring course that had little challenge from the intermediate tees. Very slow play in early afternoon on Monday and an overpriced course at $129. Greens and fairways were in very good condition.

Having to pay for daily fee golf in Naples is challenging...a full $169.00 most of the day, reduces to $75 after 3pm...tough to get in 18...Course is good, conditions are maintained for the most part...greens are good...staff is cordial....

Mustang course is playable for high handicapper. Decent shape. Very pricey in busy season.

Played in November...course was poor...but now much improved..fairways are lusher and even though the greens were dressed they were fast and consistent..excellent round and the beer tasted great in the bar.

Course was in great shape. Greens were flawless. Pace of play right at 4 hours. Only downside was no snack shop to get early morning breakfast/coffee.

Wide fairways and good greens set in good area

Lely offers two good public tracks in Naples. Mustang and flamingo. I Received a great price from golf now and would play everyday if available. Pace of play is slow with tee times every 8 minutes but other local courses are even worse.

This is a "go to" course for public golf in Naples.

Course conditions were ok ... greens not very fast but very tricky

We played Mustang and Flamingo on Sunday (Oct 2) and Monday (Oct 3). Flamingo is the more impressive, harder, and wetter of the two courses.

These are resort courses with wide fairways, low-cut rough, and nothing memorable about the holes.

This is a course that would be good for beginners or high handicap players. The fairways are generally generous and the greens are relatively flat. It is truly a resort course. Better players will be disappointed in this course and would be better off playing several other courses in the area. The Mustang course at Lely Resort is boring with only a few holes that can be remembered after playing.

It had rained extensively in the last few days and this was taken into account when rating the course. The greens were in good shape. The fairways were average to good. The rough has 3-5 different kinds of grass in it and is inconsistent. The tee boxes are okay but aesthetically could look better. When going to the course for the first time, you need to know that the pro shop is in the Sam Snead Tavern. There aren't any signs indicating where the pro shop is located on the roads in the complex.

Very good course and quiet, nice to play there.
