Fox Hollow Golf Club

Fox Hollow is a terrific test of golf. My best advice is to play the proper tees. The blue tees should be eight handicap or better. The tips, only for the very best. The whites, at nearly 6300 yds, are more than enough.

One thing I really enjoy about the course is that there are very few hidden obstacles. You can see all the bunkers from the tees, and the water never sneaks up on you. Most of the holes are fairly straight, not a lot of dog legs. There are terrific par fives including a couple which are classic risk/reward scenarios. You might feel comfortable playing long irons or hybrids off some tees, just to avoid potential problems. The greens are terrific. They run very true, quick but not incredibly fast. They seem well maintained. The bunkers have sand, actual soft, playable sand.

I just made about half of the holes border residences, the other half you feel like you're on your own out in the wilderness. The wildlife is pretty cool, and the gators are plentiful and appear well fed.

Great clubhouse and friendly staff who helped us. pace of play was a little to slow for my taste but that is probably what you have to get used to.

The only issue is getting carts around the noon timeframe. You wonder around chipping and putting and they need to put a little more effort in this area to make sure everyone is comfortable and wondering if they are going to get skipped even after checking in.

Play, course, price were all a great value.

Always a very enjoyable, challenging round of golf at Fox Hollow. Great layout and course is always in nice shape. Always a treat to play here

Very slow pace more than 5 hours to play it was a long day.

The course was very much a challenge due to the nature of the game we were playing ( 2 man bestball) against another team so we played it basically from the tips and the wind was definitely a factor. Best public course we have played in the area.

Really nice layout, course was overall in good shape both sand and turfgrass. Greens could've been a little faster but overall pretty satisfied with the round

Course was in good shape. Some greens had a lot of ball marks but generally rolled good. Played early and finished in 3 1/2 hours

We had a great experience. Course was in great shape. Challenging but playable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I believe we paid around 80 per person with the fees from Golf Now.

I’ve been golfing in the Tampa area for 2 weeks now and found this to a pretty good value for the area. I showed up early and they sent me off in the 2nd group of the day that was a twosome. We flew around in about 3.5 hours. The conditions of the course were average, but you can tell it gets a lot of play. The greens were pretty good. The layout is solid. Would play again for the price they charge.
