Fox Hollow Golf Club

The course website says the Creighton family has continued to update the course every year since purchasing the property in 2013. Nothing could be further from the truth. Since first playing here ten years ago, the place has steadily gone downhill. Really is a shame because it is a great layout and could/should easily be the best public course in Tampa. Instead it is a slowly dying track whose owners clearly have no interest in any true investment to make it what it should be. If you are coming to Tampa for a golf trip, I strongly recommend you stay away from Fox Hollow.

Generous off the tee, greens were in good shape but a bit too soft.

Overall a good course, worth another visit.

I could tell that this was a nice course at one point, but it’s not been well taken care of in the way a course charging this much should be. Definitely not worth full price. The greens were great, and it’s a fun layout. Par 3 tee boxes were very beat up. Bunkers were sloppy. I’m from out of town and I’m hoping there are nicer courses in the area.

Played as a single early. Was let through by a two-some and five- some after. Round was 2:30 max.

Fun course. Good condition but had to fix numerous ball mark divots on every green. Fair playing conditions and makeablee par 5s.

In great shape. 3hr 45 min round with a threesome proshop advice was very helpful. “Don’t be over green “ you’ll be in a valley looking up at the green. Played four courses in area in the week and this was the best and the only greens that held All others were hard like trampolines

Had a great round and really enjoyed the course. Everything was in good condition other than it seems like they have a problem with players fixing their ball marks. I could have fixed about 30 on each green. Also, when we made the turn there was no staff available for food in the club so we moved on. Would have been nice to grab a glizzy or a drink on the way by....

But it was so so slow, even though the ranger kept trying to move the elderly 4 some in front of us, that didn’t work he tried.

This is a course that you really want to test your game level, elevated greens , the greens are like carpet just awesome, the whole course is just awesome.

Not cheap but worthy, I will try again and hopefully the pace of play is not slow so i can get on a rhythm.

do note I dont say this about any course but they sure keep this one looking great.

Also.

Please know that when you get to be of certain age, you only have one speed, so if this happens to you, just be patient, relax and switch gears and work on some part of your game, you wont score today.

I still shot 78 but i had a whole game plan for this course, but is ok I try next time.
