About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

All Around Yes
Everything was above average.
First, everything is extremely organized. The signage leaves nothing to chance. Easy to find the Pro Shop. Smart direction & great paths to navigate the course.
The staff was ready before my arrival. My cart was pulled up & waiting for me. I was given clear direction to the 1st hole. Just a pleasure from start to finish.
The course itself was fun: undulating landscape with a good mix of ‘hidden’ holes & challenging hazards. Everything was well-maintained. And, all the other golfers were very nice.
It was a great experience made better by the economical cost. I would highly recommend playing here.

Great Conditions for the Money!
First time playing this course. It's not too long and the pace if play was slow (4:35), but was still enjoyable. I was surprised by the speed of the greens... FAST! Fairways were in good shape as well. I'd play it again, but probably try to be first off in the morning, or wait until layer in the day for it to clear out a bit.

Course is drying
Due to the recent heat wave these low budget facilities get very dried out. Roughs are really suffering but the greens re still relatively fair. Layout has too many blind holes for my liking as I partially sighted. Making blind shots difficult for me and my seeing partner played with two lovely ladies who made the day fun

Hilly, blind shots, good conditions.
Windy day made this a challenging course, but fun to play. Fairways are good, grass is green, greens are good and fast (rolled them), made for a fun round of golf.

Total Gem
I have been playing at Zellwood Station for about 7 years. I moved to Florida in 2016 and have played dozens of golf courses. After seeing many courses close, Zellwood Station is still going strong. Tucked away inside a 65 and older gated community, it is truly a gem. Staff is always welcoming, fairways are among the best, greens are superb but fast. You get all you want from a golf course minus an island green and food/beverage cart. Blind shots, elevated shots, risk taking shots that gives great rewards and penalties. Hats off to the grounds keepers and Superintendent. The best part about this course, I believe, is the locals. I've played with several of them and never had a bad or unpleasant grouping. If you like fun, challenging, awesome layout, and great atmosphere, this course is a must play.

Very nice course
Tee boxes and fairways very nice. Greens very fast for Florida. Hilly. Nice layout. Good for couples with women’s tees with a good advantage. Definitely play again even though I live 45 min away. Played pm during the week. Pace good.

Good greens
The greens were true and fair speed. Made up for the many blind shots and lack of rough. Course could use some more signage to help unfamiliar guests the course

Good greens
V
Greens were very smooth and a decent speed. First time playing the course so had a few directional problems. Could use some more signage. Fairways were decent but the rough was quite sparse. A lot of blind shots which made it somewhat difficult for first time players.

Good test of golf
The staff were most helpful and the greens were very good and the fairways were ok i do think that their should be more signs to advise players to repair their divots and pitch marks and to look after the course generally.
