About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Good course for the price
Overall fun course and decent conditions. However, the rate of play when I was there was beyond ridiculous. I'm a very laid back person and I don't usually get upset by that stuff as everyone paid to be there and deserves to enjoy themselves. But it reaches a point where people need to get going. I wish there had been a ranger out there making people pick up the pace. But the course was great for the price and a great mix of challenging holes and easier ones.

Average
Experience was average, disappointed when I was charged taxes even though I paid all taxes and fees to Golfnow! I even showed my receipt from golfnow to no avail!

Enjoyable Day
I enjoy playing this course on most days. The pace of play can be a little on the slow side if you are behind a group of resident owners.

Great Course-Great Layout-Fantastic Staff
The course has challenges, but the risk is worth the reward. Each hole is in very good shape and the greens run true. The Club House staff is extremely helpful and exceeded our expectations. Dining at The Whistle Stop after the round was great, the food and the service was really appreciated. We plan on enjoying Zellwood Station again in the near future.

Good Shape
Course is in good shape for this time of year plus they offered good rates through Golf Now. Playing it again on Sunday

Don't pay ahead
I used tee times to book this course like always they did not honor my booking and made us play extra money and they keep my online desposit and would not refund to me ended up paying 39$ was 29$ online and wouldn't make it right ripoff

Poor customer service.
I have played here several times, the problem here is they don't have a ranger that keeps players playing at a pace. The day I was there they had a tournament where the groups wanted to stand around in the fairway and on the greens to socialize instead of playing golf. Without a ranger this group was permitted to hold up play for others. I sat and waited over 20 mins on hole 7, another 25 mins on hole 8 and another issue was on hole 9. I picked up and went to complain to the pro shop where they did not care.
I played the course two weeks prior to the above date where the course over seeded the greens and kept turning on the water flooding the greens are got me and others of the foursome wet. Complained then same ambivalent attitude from the staff at the pro shop.
I will not be playing here again and recommend anyone else to go elsewhere to play golf.

Zellwood
Overall good time and great pace for younger player. Staff is average, but it is an older course but a fun one for those that have not played it. Golf carts need a little upgrading.

Lots of elevation changes
While I like an occasional up or down hole, there's just too many for my taste here. I like to try and hit a spot, but so many shots are just blind. I feel like I'm just "swinging in the general direction". It's a good course, just not my taste.

Lack of a course ranger.
I have played this course on several occasions. This course has had an issue with the pace of play due to the fact they don't have a ranger keeping play at a pace.
Today they had a tournament playing where several of the guest wanted to stand out on the fairway and shoot the bull while other players and myself backed up. This occurred on hole 7, hole 8, and on hole 9 the foursome with this tournament two were looking for balls in the woods and the other two were in the gully looking for balls in the water.
I passed the group on hole 7 and 8 and witnessed the above situation taking place so I went to hole 9 to continue my pace of play only to find more members of the group looking for balls.
I went back to the pro shop and voiced my displeasure where the person there could give a care.
I asked for a refund and was advised being I booked with golf now I needed to discuss it with them.
I won't be booking or spending any more of my money to play golf here.
