About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Course is tough but fair.
Course in good condition, some of the greens were starting to dry out so sprinklers were coming on constantly.

Such a unique course. Has hills unlike most of the courses in central Florida

With rain the last 2 days the course was soggy in certain spots. Sand traps were pretty wet. Greens were in great shape.

Course is in great shape, well maintained greens
I played this course about 8 years ago, and felt it was pretty average. I have to say the layout is fun with hills and blind shots, and the greens rolled true and at a decent speed. She’s in great shape!

Surprisingly Good
Was surprised how good the course was for the value. Went in with little expectations and found the course to be good overall. Greens were really good and fairways were decent. Can’t beat the course for the price, and the layout is great.

Things have changed
It's been some 15 yrs. since I last played this course. Course is on much better shape now. Greens good. Fairways very playable. This course for the most part has tight fairways. Elevation on a lot of holes. Most downhill from the fairway. Some fairways the tee shot is uphill and even the second shot for seniors you will not see the green. I enjoyed it though.

Zellwood golf
Like the course, greens were in good shape, not as fast as last time but may have not been cut, great staff and restaurant, only problem there are some holes with blind shots and you can't tell where golfers are, like 10, there should be a bell or mirror telling you when it's safe to hit, other then that very enjoyable course and great staff, will play again.

Disappointing
I have played here many times. I would usually say it was a reasonable value and decent course conditions. Not this time. The pace of play was surprisingly slow for a Monday. The worst part was that they were top dressing the greens that morning. No advance warning either when I checked in or from the starter. This made the greens unplayable. I left after 9 holes.

Classic Old Florida
Typical Florida, water and houses (mobile home community) everywhere. Some holes are wide open. Greens are a 6/10, fairways 7/10, bunkers 8/10. Fun design with some greens having more slope than fair.

OK for the money
It is always very slow, No good to see 4-5 carts in a group.

Great time
My father in law and son and I played Saturday morning and the course is in great shape and the greens are some of the best I have seen lately. The course is challenging but not so challenging that you don’t have a good time we will definitely be back especially at the price point and condition of the course.
