About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

I really like this course. The ground crew does a good job. The layout is fun and challenging. I'll be back again for sure.
Over Booking
We loved coming to Zellewood, layout is nice, staff is friendly, the greens can use work but overall not bad however, the course has been over booking tee times, last 2 visits play time was well over 5 hrs even had to wait 30mins pass tee time, unfortunately we will no longer be playing at Zellewood. Price to play, conditions of greens and over booking, course is no longer worth playing.

Needs an aerification alert
The greens are the challenge on this course. Get above the hole and you are in trouble.
DO NOT PLAY for about two weeks. The greens were aerified on the 15th and 16th, but there's no aerification alert on the page.

Great Value
Nice course and great value. Course was in pretty good shape. Would play again
Disappointing, and getting worse.
I've played Zellwood multiple times and its been a real disappointment over the past year. the course is just in awful condition. ZERO tee boxes, looks like they were used for wedge practice with huge divots all over them, The fairways are burned out and forget anything surrounding greens. NO grass, just sand and dirt all over the place. Its a good layout, and I've always been a fan, but based on the recent lack of conditioning and maintenance, its really gone downhill. The greens were aerated in the last month or 2, but still look like crap, impossible to get a nice roll on the ball.
prices are also getting sneaky here, rising steadily, even in Florida summer. Seems like something is backwards....
The upside
People In the restaurant are always nice, down to earth with no pretense. The Pro shop is hit or miss. There is one employee who is loud and a know-all, but other than him, they are nice.
Not sure we will be back anytime soon until conditions really improve.

Review
Great course for the money. The front nine were a bit slow because of the groups in front of us, but after they finished their nine the pace of play was fantastic. Overall I would recommend this course to my friends.
