About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Sill good, drop off from last round
This one doesn't go to the staff. The greens were rollin' nice where they could. Where they couldn't looks more to be a player problem. Pitch marks galore, unrepairable, dead, bumpy, and brown. We owe it to the land, grounds crew, and each other to maintain respect and etiquette!!!

Great Experience
Attended on a Group Golfer run. Drove 45 minutes to check it out with a buddy of mine. We had the first tee time. No delays getting on the course. Was a real challenge out there. One of the most-challenging courses physically that I have played in a long time. Lots of slope up and down. Tee boxes and fairways we immaculate. Rough and greens were spotty in some areas, but nothing that impacted my time out there. Crater Corner was a really spectacular stretch of holes to play. Had a great time and will definitely be back.

Needs a lot of work
Needs grass...it was annoying to get a nice shot...then have to move your ball to find some grass''Come on....spend some of those expensive fees on som maintenance...Took 5 hours to play 18 holes

Highly recommend you do not play here layout cool and all if ur not in fair way mines weel pick ur ball up and move it onto the fairway nothing but uneven dirt on all side of the rough if you need to chip on the green I would put cus ur chipping on hard dirt and most un consents green I ever played on some will be super fast then next hole super slow and no I’m not a bad golfer just a bad course to play and enjoy a fun round

Value is available
Great bones to this layout and with some TLC could be a fantastic hidden gem. The greens were fine overall and their pace was good, a couple were rough but would have been unnoticeable had they selected better pin postions that day.
Major complaint - grass in the rough & greenside was so sparce tee to green it resembled a waste area, FIRs & GIRs at a premium. LoL
$$$$$ was the key here- Conditions were expected based on the price point, get over and enjoy the day.

Nice wide fairways, But!
Fairways goid shape but challenge on some holes with The Train Wreak hole and few others. Good course especially for the value.
Only complaint is pace of play. They need a Ranger to move some of the slower players along and allow to play through.

Zellwood is worth a play - the greens are in great shape and fast - lots of movement - tee boxes and fringe vwey good --challenging - 1st and 10 st. uphill -choose your tee box wisely--fairways good - overall very good experience

The course is a bit rough!
I’ve always liked Zellwood but the course was a bit rough!!! The greens are good - the tee boxes are ok but long - the rough is totally unplayable!!!
If you get off the fairway on most holes, you’re in the dirt with weedy clumps and no where that you can actually hit a ball!
First time I’ve been disappointed.
I’ll try it again since it’s close by and I love the staff.

Golf Round
The course was one of the best I have seen in this price range. Only downside is it was backed up and crowded. But that is to be expected this time of year in Florida.

Great greens and tee boxes
Been playing in central florida for 20 yrs, but never made it to Zellwood Station. Had no idea of the incredible layout and HILLS..
The greens and tee boxes were in amazing shape! Kudos to the grounds keeping crew.
Enjoyed the round and met several friendly members
Will definitely be back.

Zellwood
Hidden gem. Great layout with lots of topography. Greens were in great shape, but fairways too dry. Hopefully, rainy season will cure that issue. Worth the play.
