About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

course conditions
everything was great until the starter sent us off, behind a fivesome. we waited on every hole . It was a cool ,windy day and it took 5 hours. Still enjoyed the slow round.

Disrespectful!
I got to the course and checked in. Practiced a bit on the green. Got hooked up with two other players. I drive my cart over to the first tee box. There is a short concrete path toward the back tee which looked like it could be a place to get out of the way. I drive on it to get ready to hit. A course staff person (pro, manager?) is standing outside the pro shop about 20 yards away. He shouts at me loud enough for the entire city to hear, “Hey! That’s not a cart path.” I reply, “Thank you.” He yells again, “Well, BACK IT OUT!” So, I moved the cart, hit my drive, and moved on.
What a terrible way to treat a customer.

A Wonderful Challenge!
Great layouts, would of been nice to enjoy it alone with our party of 2 getting mixed with a person was different with our beginning player that needs no pressure.
Also golf now directions doesn't take you to club house . Which made us late and driving thru guard shack was a hassle
But the play and layouts were some of the best around

Loved It Again
I am a intermediate golfer I shoot in the low 80s and I make it a point to play at zellwood station golf course at least twice a month. The staff is friendly the course is well maintained for a community course, the greens I think are in perfect shape I live in a golf community and I still make the effort to go play at zellwood. Keep up the great work guys I appreciate a small community course that is well maintained.

Great layout not great conditions
Love the layout of this course but the turf conditions are not great. Fairways are full of weeds and the greens, that have been good on past visits, were not good today.

Price issues
Booked at $26.00 for our foursome. Prepaid $16.00 and change with balance due at course $94.00 and change. We were charged $27.54 at the course plus $1.79 tax total $29.33 at course. I thought we paid too much. I disagreed but the course told me there charge was correct. After the round I challenged the charge with another employee who told me my prepayment was a fee and blamed tee off for discrepancies. He refunded me $1.79. I feel taken. The greens had also been heavily sanded. I was not happy. Did I miss something?

Good course
The greens had been aerated about 3 weeks ago the only issue with it now is where they put sand down, it was a little bit sandy when you putted. Give it another week and everything should be good.

This course needs a lot of TLC.
I have played every course around for 70 miles and this course is the worst. Not one green was without damage and I mean all over. Would not recommend this until it is back in shape. I used to play here a lot and enjoyed it but not on 8/17/21.
