About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Very Enjoyable
Been playing this course for many years. Always enjoy it.
A beautiful piece of property and a very interesting layout. The condition seems to vary quite a bit, which I think tends to be seasonal/weather related.
Not covid www 19 friendly
The covid pandemic is still raging yet management requires 2 people to a cart no longer accept credit cards cash only
They do not tell you this upfront.last time I will golf at this facility dangerous to your health

Great old course
As usual this course will challenge you, and there is no doubt that you will enjoy playing golf there. This old course will always be fun to play, but you must stay in the fairway to score well.

Course Management Ruined Experience
Staff overbooked the course for multiple tournaments. Pushed back tee off by an hour. Course itself had very little uniqueness to it. Well maintained, easy fairways. Slow pace of play.

Unique and fun
If you like elevation changes, very sharp doglegs and fast undulating greens, this is the place for you. Lots of fun and certainly different than most in central Florida. Fairways are a little rough but I will chalk it up to winter. Definitely worth the money

Mismanagement of Tee Times
Course was overbooked due to two tournaments. We didn’t tee off for an hour after our scheduled tee time. Straight forward course. Nothing too unique. Very straight open fairways.

Zellwood
Great track. In good shape. Some fun and some challenging holes. Watch out for the “Train Wreck” and the trip around the crater. Bunkers need work. Greens were fast, but grass covering was inconsistent. I enjoy this course and will be back.

Worst greens
Not sure you can call them greens as they have no grass. Bare dirt patches on most greens. Also a good amount of the greens are sloped so severely from back to front. There was a pin on 16 in the middle of the slope and literally hit a putt that missed by less than an inch that rolled backwards six feet. You can drive 15 minutes from this place and pay just $10 more for a beautiful course in excellent condition. Will not play here again.

Terrible experience
Showed up to the pro shop, saw they had SEVERAL times on this app. Asked inside if they had any and was informed only at 3 and that all other times were for members only(specified nowhere). Went on to ask how it would have been handle had I purchased times before 3 on the app and the gentleman said that was our problem. Gentleman at the counter was also having a pleasant conversation about our attire(just got off an airplane) and went on to make comments again as we were walking out the door. Extremely off-putting and will never recommend.

Cool and a.bit windy today however, the course was in good shape. A little wet in a couple spots but greens and fairways were in great shape for early January! Had a fun round today!

Must try!
If You are within an hour then play it. If farther out then maybe play it, still worth the trip. I am glad to have an opinion on elevation and natural land terrain in Central Florida that includes a vast array of courses. Breaking from the standard Clermont and Orlando river courses allows me a valid view point from having played the courses You've "heard about" but cannot state playing or lunch/ drinking experiences! Give it a go from any tees. 2 drivable Par 4s, good luck!

Greens spotty
Greens were spotty, like the overseed didn't take hold. Fairways were typical Florida winter fairways.
