About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Over booked
The pace of play was very slow I believe it was over booked
Zellwood Station.

Very original and enjoyable design.
Had a great time. I was paired with a great couple of friends that were local and knew there way around the course.
Quite a few blind shots. Nice design for the hilly topography.
Decent upkeep but you still had to place your ball out of quite a few bald spots.

Clubhouse Attendant is the WORST
Been to this course 100 times. Every single time there's always an issue with the clubhouse guy. He's always extremely rude and makes it seem like we're interrupting/ruining his day. Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a golf course and my group is pretty sick of it. Course isn't that bad either which is a shame we won't be back.
Ive experienced the same thing and im guessing its the same person.
Zellwood is unfortunately know for this type of thing. They are very territorial.

Bring The A Game
Very difficult course. Knowledge of the course is a premium. Greens were slick with severe breaks. Meaning....pay attention and think it over a bit. Most greens are elevated so club selection is very important. Stay in the fairway. Hitting off the fairway on Crater Junction will warrant a search party to find you. Will be back again soon.

Good condition for the winter
Was pleasantly surprised by to see good fairways and greens. The greens are not perfect but they are running a good speed and true. The fairways are over seeded and looking good. The course is fun and challenging. Played on Wednesday afternoon, the pace was good, finished the round in 4 hours. Paid $25 on tee off, good price for the course. Saw some bad reviews from picky golfers. If you want perfect conditions, try Ritz Carlton or Bella Colina, but you will need to drop around $150. Our group drove 45 minutes to play here. We’ll be back.

Dont pay full price!
Views are nice, hills are a change of pace!
But honestly course conditions are poor. Back nine being better than front.
Greens are smooth but have splotchy dead spots. Fairway turf was hit or miss. Tee boxes are mostly poor. Off fairway just awful.
Unfortunately, these type of course conditions have become acceptable in neighborhood courses. Wekiva and Eagle Dunes are just as poor for some comparison. Metrowest and Hunters Creek should just lock the doors.
This place has been about the same condition for 20 years. No need for commenting what the potential might be. It is what it is and has always been.
The recent groupgolfer deal at $25 is most you should consider spending here.

A beautiful piece of property and a very interesting layout. The condition seems to vary quite a bit, which I think tends to be seasonal/weather related.
