Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Pine Glen
About
Situated just outside of downtown San Diego, Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycuan Resort) offers two 18-hole championship courses as well as Pine Glen, an 18-hole, par-3 course. It may not have the same championship status as the other golf courses but its beautiful landscape of mature sycamores, towering oaks, and natural rock outcroppings is anything but run-of-the-mill. The course relies heavily on the natural hazards provided by the mountainous terrain but bunkers have been strategically placed along the rolling, well manicured greens for added challenge. The layout is gentle enough for beginners but it also provides great practice for more advanced players looking to work on their short game or just squeeze in a quick, casual round. In addition to the three very different courses, Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan offers extensive practice facilities that include a grass driving range, a short game area with a sand bunker, and multiple practice greens.

This is a great course to work on your irons
This course was great to be able to hit some of the different iron shots, and have my wife have fun hitting shots and building her confidence with her golf game.
Great Value for the $!
First time I played this course. Took my 11 year old grandson who is just learning the game. Was a lot of fun. The greens were in excellent shape. My only (minor) complaint is the separation of three holes from the rest of the course. Since it was not too crowded in the a.m. when we played, it was not an issue. For the money, this course is a lot of fun and a great place to tune your game.
Great Day at Pine Glen
Had another great day at Pine Glen !
No better way to get your golf fix on and work on your iron game. !!!
We play here at least 1 x per month. Great for all players and levels. I recommend you get out and play this course and see for yourself how beautiful and serene it is.

Pine Glen !!!
Great course to work on your short game before a big course. Also the greens are keep in great excellent conditions. Great place to teach someone as well. Highly recommend!!
Good par 3 course
Except for the eight green which seriously need repair, it’s a great place to hone your short game for such a cheap rate. I always like Syquan golf courses. Hopefully, they fix the eight green very soon.
Pace of play
The course was an absolute free-for-all on Sunday. Players spaced out too close together. No marshals on the course to aid pace of play. A twosome rider group should not be booked after a foursome walking group. Zero help from staff, as they claim that no "managers" are staffed on Sundays, which I find very hard to believe. We golf here fairly often and will not return.
Tee boxes need work
Tee boxes were almost all dirt. The greens and bunkers were great but I could barely find a spot to play my tee shot
Great Golf Day
I was a little rusty with the drivers but outstanding with my putting. Pine Glen is perfect course for my game.
Nice Executive Course
Nicer executive course for short game work over 18-holes. A few holes mixed-in to break-out mid-range irons. Course could use a few next hole course markers for 1st timers.
Depends on the price
All three of the courses are in very good condition.
Pine is a par 3 course to sharpen your iorn and wedge play. Sycaun is expensive, unless you find a discount deal of some kind.
Another Sycuan Gem
This was my first time playing the Par 3 course at Sycuan. I've played the championship courses (willow and glen) a couple of times each before. I appreciated that the quality was only a few notches below the other two courses. It's nice to see that the management cares also for the course that caters to novice golfers and those who wish to work on short irons, chipping, and putting.
The layout was more interesting than I expected and as a 10 handicapper playing with a less experienced golfer I was pleased that there were several 140-180 yard par three's. My main issue was that the blue tee boxes are not officially in use since the blue markers are not placed. That said, I played the "back" tees anyway. Frustratingly, there are no tee distance markers to show the reference point for the posted yardage for either the white or blue tees. To SYCUAN MANAGEMENT: Please install tee reference markers so that golfers can choose correct club without need for rangefinder.
In terms of course conditions, the grass on the trees is anywhere from bad to above average, with some tees having grass that is too long. I only saw one bunker and I didn't go in it so I can't vouch for its quality. The fairways were in decent shape. The greens were in good shape and I felt that if I hit a putt on my line it would go into the hole. The speed of the greens is moderate, which is appropriate for a par 3 course. I plan to play this course again, expecially if I'm booking a round of golf with someone new to the game. If you are looking to play every club in the bag, play one of the other courses.
Pitch and Putt Challenge
Long par three at times, with some challenging greens, makes for a good practice round of iron usage.
