Wyncote Golf Club

Classic links course. Tight fairways, beautiful views, challenging greens. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in great shape. Wish the greens were cut a bit closer and faster.

Clubhouse service was fair at best; guy in the pro shop did not seem to be happy working there and had to wait 15 minutes to get served at the turn.

Play was a bit slow and no marshals present to speed play. If you were in the tall fescue, forget finding your ball. Suspect golfers spending too much time looking for balls is root cause for slow play.

Overall a really enjoyable & challenging course. Only thing preventing me from giving this a 5 star rating across the board are the multiple bad experiences in the clubhouse. Will definitely be back

Pace of play was exaggerated due to holiday. Typically not 5 hours. Course is in great shape but the rough is ruthless and captures way too many balls.

As always one of the best public courses in SE PA/northern DE region. Nice layout, excellent condition, smooth rolling greens

We drive over an hour to play this links course upwards of 7 times a year because it is that great of a course and It never disappoints! The name Wyncote, in Indian, means wind. So expect it! The conditions are simply outstanding and they have the best greens that I've played in the past month! The scenery is beautiful and you will even hear the occasional clip-clop of the Amish horses passing by. Wyncote is as difficult as you make it. If you play smart and hit good shots you'll stay out of the tall fescue, which is up to your knees, and you will have a good score. Can't say anything else about this course except get out and enjoy!

My son and I had a fantastic time playing this course and the layout is very nice along with the country setting scenery. I would recommend this course to anyone who enjoys golf. This was our second time playing and they give you a free play after 5 times, so we will only pay for one next time out. Greens and fairways in excellent condition.

I have yet to have a bad time at Wyncote. I know every time we play there we are going to play a course that could be compared to any of the private clubs in the area. This course will test all golfers from any skill level. this course is tough but fair. This is just one of my favorite courses in the area and if I lived closer would be the only one I would play. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't played it yet or if you have go back since it's always in great shape. Make sure you play the right set of tees though there is no reason to make it any tougher here then it already is. I just can't say enough about this course and how great it is.

What a great course! Conditions of the greens, fairways and boxes were fantastic. Love the risk, reward layout and the fescue is killer if you miss hit. Great value if you have the time and are willing to drive a bit from Philly.

Visiting from out of town and the reviews recommended Wyncote! Course was immaculate! Conditions were great. Todd from Golf Shop check in was nice. Ranger was rude, telling not asking to speed pace of play. Finished 18 in a little less than 4 hours. Why the rush? Amenities inside were good.

Whole course was in great shape greens were fast. Only like 2 trees in play on the entire course but a lot of high grass makes it very challenging. Only complaint I have was that there was no beer girl, but then again I did play on a Tuesday.

if you live in southern chester county , you need to put this course on your list to play several times per year. the greens are a little slow right now but can much tougher as the season progresses. the only improvement I can see is a beverage/snack cart !!

Day started off windy! Was surprised and impressed with the open-layout to the course, but the wind dictated most of my shots. On a gorgeous day, I'm sure it's great to play. Tee boxes were maintained, fairways were plush, but greens were a little disappointing. There was too much sand on the greens-- too much uneveness. Overall, my experience was great. I had fun, I played at a very chill pace with no one up my butt. I enjoyed my time at Wyncote. Would definitely come again. Lastly, If this was mid season I'd expect better course maintanence, but I understand why it's not, it's March 9th, haha!

Got out on a beautiful day in February. The course is awesome! The conditions overall were good except that the greens were recently aerated and there was a little too much sand. Not a big deal but some were pretty slow. Overall, one of my favorite courses in Lancaster County!
