Wyncote Golf Club

Excellent conditions - I have played this course many times, and the only criticism I have ever had is the length of the grasses in the rough - almost impossible to find a stray ball. Greens were true and well manicured.

A must play if you live in or visit the Philly area.

This course was a lot of fun to play and in great shape. Tight fairways with lots high grass. Bunkers were great. Greens were fast and rolled true. I will definitely play this course again.

Had lunch @ restaurant - excellent food
Drove car to practice area bc there were no carts
Waited for practice area - only 6 spots - all taken.
Waited for cart - tee'd off 17 min late - was told delay was from morning fog...possibly, but they had us play in fog in Myrtle
Ladies tee box condition: excellent
Fairway condition: average - no sand/fill dirt on carts to repair divots
Note: never been on a course that supplied a rake w/each cart instead of at traps
Greens - overall good cut/condition, but by end of day, ball marks hadn't been repaired and people weren't picking up their feet

I have played this course a dozen times and Sunday was the slowest play. My group waited 17 minutes passed our tee time because there was not enough carts for the number of players. In fact, there were 4 or 5 groups waiting for carts. NOT GOOD.

The layout of the course and conditions were both excellent. Only drawback is the that pace of play can be slow due to the high grass and the people spend too much looking for their balls in it.
Otherwise, I would definitely play this course again.

Always a pleasure playing Wyncote. The greens especially were in perfect condition. It is always worth the hour ride to get there

Nice round with only some waiting. Tough rough so keep em in the fairway. Plush everywhere. Friendly staff. Did not see a beverage cart but there is honor system for bottled water on several holes. Nice country setting. Walkable.

Just a terrific round of golf every time at Wyncote. Unmatched course conditions and the challenge of Heathlands style.

The course is almost 1 1/2 hours from where I live but worth the drive. Great layout, played in 4 hours on a busy day and the course was it excellent shape!

This was my second time playing Wyncote and it was also excellent the second time around. Weather was amazing, which helped. But the course layout is beautiful and the holes are challenging. Fescue grass tends to be on the other side of blind shots, so make sure you know where you're shot is going so you don't end up with your ball being swallowed up by the rough. Greens were nice, but weren't as fast as I remember (but it's been two years). Overall, an excellent experience and value for the money.

Beautiful setting! Each hole has a unique personality, so you can remember each and every hole. Course is in fabulous condition!
It's always important to hit the fairway, but here, if you're off with your tee shots, you may be in deep fescue. There is plenty of room, but you will pay a penalty if you miss.
Can't wait to play it again!

great course, I like this course it is tough if you don't find the fairways. greens are in great shape. this is a must play course.

The course was very nice. It is a very challenging and long course. Make sure you play from the correct tees.

Played this course probably 250 times total over the years and as a member for the last two. It was the first links-style course built in this region and you will not be disappointed with its conditions thanks to a very thin, but very hard working maintenance staff. Wyncote is a challenging links layout on a calm day, but it's almost never calm at Wyncote. Because of the open landscape, a 1-2 club breeze is constantly present and a 3-4 club wind is very common. If you want to navigate your ball successfully around this course, know your limitations, play within them, and CLUB UP for any breeze/wind not directly behind you. A bit overpriced on the weekends.

Challenging, but fair course, which is always in great condition. Pace of play is normally very good.
No leaves to worry about anywhere on the course.

I haven't played Wyncote in a long time but for as wet as it was out the course was in pretty good shape. It is a fair course I enjoy playing it.

This course was a really tough one, if your looking for a good challenge, then this is the place to go. Great value for the money, was $50.00 and worth every penny. The fescue surrounding the rough was hard to stay away from. Especially of the tee, hit something you can control of the tee, the fairways were often undulating as were the greens, they rolled true and fast. definitely a test. the wind wasn't bad although we did get a couple big gusts of wind, The long par 5's & par 3's make it really easy to double bogey. Honestly a great track. I loved it even though I shot 20 shots higher then usual! Haha. Definetly pack extra balls. I came with 8 balls and finished 18 with 1 left. Great course, more for the lower handicapper but great fun!

I like playing this course. It is a links style course so it's always windy. The course has a lot of different style holes..... Long, shorter, blind drives and some target golf holes. The course is always in great shape and the restaurant has great food as well.
