Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

This course has a fantastic layout views of the mountains, Beautiful lakes.

This is a very fun course to play challenging fairways gorgeous views. After all, the rain course has nice grass in the fairways, they're starting to take care of the sand traps. The greens are very nice I like this course.

One of the worst courses in San Diego

The first time I played here it was in a bit better condition. This course has gotten so bad they might as well let it go. I wouldn't even play here if it was free.

Atrocious condition

Worst course in San Diego. No traps, no fairways, horrendous greens. Should by you to play. Definitely will never return

Frost Delay and Cancel

I was told that I would get a round of golf from you guys because there was a frost delay that a tournament had to wait for and went out late and therefore I could not gold.

Best I’ve seen it, still not great

Played here the first time in about a year. The course is in the best shape I’ve seen in the last 5 years, but it still isn’t in very good shape by any stretch. You get what you pay for, I paid $45 to ride on a Saturday and feel like it was a fair value .

Poor conditions but super cheap

A lot of bare spots in the fairways and the greens were not much better. A lot of potential but in rough shape. Staff is fantastic and super friendly

Not worth the $20 green fee

I never thought I’d say that $20 was a ripoff at a golf course. I can’t say the grass was in poor condition, cause there would need to be grass on the fairways to say that. Golfed there 20+ years ago and it was beautiful. So sad!!

Need to fix cancerous greens and cart path!

They need to fix the cancerous greens, bunkers are hard as a rock and the cart path needs plenty of work. Overall the course needs to be maintained better. The starter staff was aggressive and rude while playing a round behind us. They were bombing shots while we were on the fairway on the 2nd and 3rd hole. The only thing good about this course is that it's located in a nice gated community.

Can't believe this is still a Troon Course

I LOVE this layout! Tough tee shots. Water, bunkers, creeks, ravines and beautiful vistas. Now, all you need is to fix half the greens, level the tee boxes, plant grass on some of the fairways and it would be awesome!

The course condition was bad but given the price it was to be expected I suppose.

Lack of maintenance

Could be a fun course to play if the fairways are properly maintained. Quiet countryside setting: invest in course improvements & raise the fees.

Contrarian review: It's fun for the money

I read the reviews AFTER booking our 10:50 tee time for $20 (including cart). I was expecting burned out fairways and terrible greens.

Yes the first 9 is a little like entering the Land That Time Forgot. You drive thru tunnels designed not only for carts but for significant water flow. There were large mounds of river sand cleared off to both sides of the path. It was a little surreal.

And, yes, the areas 50 to 75 yards out from the tee box lack grass on the front nine, but you should hit it farther than that. We saw a coyote on the second hole and had to avoid some casual water throughout the first nine, but it was still playable.

The greens are not in bad shape, but they were much slower than I've been used to recently.

The back 9 avoids most of the water issues and is a lot of fun. The course is narrow throughout, though, so it could be a problem if you spay the ball off the tee.

It took us 4-1/2 hours as the course attracts some bargain-hunting beginners, but other than pace of play (mostly on the back 9), it was great. We've already decided to play it again, though it's possible that the El Nino winter may do a number on the front nine and we'll rethink the whole thing. Still, it would be interesting to see what Mother Nature does to those first nine holes.

For $20, it's a fun morning or afternoon. You can go to the Safari Park after, too.

Walked

Would be overpriced if it was free

Worst condition course I've played. Never left a review here before but felt like I had to. The bunkers are filled with water and parts of the fairway are filled with water too. The greens are in extremely poor condition as well. It had the potential to be a good course but unfortunately there is zero maintenance.
