If you're sick of getting beat up and spit out by all the big-name, big-bite courses in the Palm Springs resort area paradise of La Quinta, Big Rock Golf & Pub at Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs could be the course for you.
This track provides a reprieve from the hacker battering. The design is pretty straight forward. Water only comes into play on two holes. The fairways are mostly flat.
Golfers can get into trouble in the desert areas bordering some holes, but as long as you're not too wild, the pain should be kept to a minimum. Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs is all about golf as a fun escape.
It's not a course that feels like it must make hackers prove something. The slope rating at this John Gurley Sr. design is 127 for men, 120 for women.

Great Course!
This was the second time we played this course and we again enjoyed our experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the course was in great shape. Great course with the right amount of challenge for an intermediate level golfer.
Great course
Played here last Xmas 2022. Enjoyed and impressed with course. So I decided to play again during my visit this Xmas . No regrets.

Lots of GUR and traps unplayable
No discount for bad conditions due to rain

Beautiful Course
First time there and I loved the course. Beautiful and green and lush fairways and very nice greens. A lot of water hazards makes you have to be careful about your club choice, even driver in some cases.
Big Rock Indian Springs
Golf course was in excellent shape. The greens were pretty fast and difficult to read some breaks,but very challenging. We played in 4 hours and never waited on any hole. Big Rock has an interesting layout and is more challenging than it appears.
Big Rock rocks!
I played as a single, joined 3 others. We zoomed around the course, so pace at 3 hr 20 minutes was great. The course was in good shape, bunkers in good shape, and greens rolled nicely. The layout is a little ho hum, but it's good to get out and play on a beautiful day and the price is reasonable.
Course was in good shape greens were fairly quick. The only issue was we ran into a foursome on the 12 th hole that had let the group in front play through. And the foursome held us up for two hours and 15 minutes to finish the last seven holes. I never saw a course Marshall hurrying them.

This is a great course for any level player. Great staff and the course is well maintained. Excellent value
