PGA WEST Pete Dye Dunes Course

Course needs work. Tees and fairways in decent shape. Greens are ok but pretty slow. Quite a bit of ground which i would call ground under repair, but not sure anyone is actually repairing it.

I don't know how PGA WESTcan be associated with course. Don't waist your money on it.

Not long but challenging green shots and tough putting. The re-design of the greens has brought some spice to the course and made it even more difficult to score on. Maintenance was excellent from tees to greens.

This course has recently undergone new green development and they are, frankly, too young and absurdly hard. Avoid for the 2024 calendar year and try again in the winter of 24/25.

A side note but the burn on the sides isn't watered. The fairways were in decent shape, greens a bit burnt and described by staff as 'turtle shells', but it's certainly not the prettiest course as a result in the area.

Another note - we saw the cart service twice with only a single-sandwich selection, there's 1 washroom at 9, 'no urinating' signs everywhere. Neither myself nor my guests were interested in trying Mountain and won't go back.

Trashing course. Staff not friendly. Hunkers need more sand.

Once again the practice facilities were closed. Only bathrooms are at 9th green. No on-course services except temporary table near 9th green. No attendants after round. Very hard greens. Several holes almost silly in their design.

Grains have too many undulations for the average golfer. Too many false fronts and too many areas where the ball after a good shot funnels down off of the great.

Booked through GolfNow and found out that they have no range and no chipping areas. The facilities flooded and have been closed for months. No sorry, no discount, nothing. Very indifferent staff about it. Also asked permission to video on the course for content and nobody called back after leaving 3 messages. Very poor staff performance. Too many options in the desert to deal with this. Not going back.

Have played here numerous times, but the course was in the worst shape it has ever been. Apparently they have re-done the greens and they are rock hard and very brown. This is now a three star course at a four/five star price. Save your money and go elsewhere at least for now. Just because it now says PGA West course does not mean it is.

Course was beautiful, greens are tough. Main down fall was the practice area was all closed, which no one tells you until you go to pay.

Range was closed, didn't know.

I understand that the rain has been a challenge but all the other courses I have played this year were in better shape!!

Like the course. Seems to take a while to recover from when it rains. Greens were slow and bumpy. Managed to get a deal through GolfNow. Mountain and Dunes are way overpriced from prior years and comparable courses. Would not pay more than $130 to play Dunes.
