The Course at Wente Vineyards

Beautiful location/surroundings as normal for Wente...

Played the Blue tees -- of the 10 Par 4s; 4 are under 300, and maybe 2 more under 350. So for 60% of them -- is a lot of Dr./3Wd + wedge holes. Easy solution is to play longer tees next time; but for $200, maybe i expected to hit more mid-length irons, etc. (as Driver/Wedge munis are abundant)

The tee boxes are small and most were mounded in the middle with lots of divots-- not necessarily $200/round conditions - -they should roll them hard and often to flatten them out.

Greens - were in great condition, albeit a little slow. Fairways were in great condition.

I think they cater - as they should - to their members with shorter holes, slower greens, etc.; and then high prices to keep public play moderate.

At $190 is not quite on par as Half Moon Bay, Cordevalle, Harding Park, or even Bayonet. At half that price Wente would be fantastic golf outing.

The people and environment are awesome.

Played by myself a day before July 4th and finished in 3 hours by playing through a threesome. Great condition with challenging undulating greens. The last back 4 played a bit too similar but overall great condition tee to green every hole.

This is a really nice course and quite difficult. I wouldn’t recommend it to a higher handicap player because they will lose a ton of balls and get frustrated but a great course for the skilled player. A bit overpriced at $250+ for a round given that one could play better courses like or Spyglass for the same money. This is more like a $125 course, but of course everything is more expensive in the Bay Area

Wente offers a stunning, hilly layout with vineyard views, challenging holes, and top-tier conditions. Highlights include dramatic elevation changes, fast greens, and a few jaw-dropping par 3s. It’s a true test, but fair and worth every penny.

The course is in great shape with the greens playing fast and true. Some of the tee boxes need to be worked on...

Everything was great except for they were out of every type of food on the go items at 1pm

Great course. A bit frustrating with a slow group of three playing from mixed tees and a twosome behind that was on my heels even when I’m solo and playing fast. The course is awesome though. Wish the snack bar would be open or have notice that it’s not so I could snag a beer and a snack earlier. This is a treat playing in the bay and I highly suggest playing it. The design is smart but not too challenging.
