Located less than an hour east of San Francisco, the Course at Wente Vineyards sprawls across the lush, rolling hills of Livermore Valley. Greg Norman carefully crafted the golf course, creating one of northern California's most challenging layouts. The course incorporates three different landscapes: woodlands, grassy meadows, and mature vineyards. All throughout the golf course though, golfers will be faced with dramatic elevation changes that cause tricky uneven lies but that also means there are panoramic views to be enjoyed on almost every hole. The fairways and landing areas are narrow and require good club management. The prevailing winds add another challenging element to the course. The Course at Wente Vineyards' back nine holes are more demanding with the par 3s being especially memorable. It is a tough but fair round that will reward proper club selection and strategy.

A great overall course
Hay played before several times. Love the overall layout, forgiving in some areas, challenging on other’s. Something for everyone the course is always in great shape, the food and service is great in the bar grill. I highly recommend this course

How could this not be a great round when I got a hole in one on hole Seven.
Amazing!!
Lesser known fact, they give you a bottle of wine for a hole in one. The bottle is etched with one of the holes on the course.

Greens were sandy and fast
Staff unfriendly
No beverage cart or snack shack for entire 18 holes
Round took 5 hours on a Saturday
There was no staff working the golf carts

Awesome course
The views are amazing, the course is in tremendous condition and would definitely recommend. Not your every weekend golf course as it’s very pricey for non-members but worth playing couple of times a year.
