About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Tad Long
Great course. Greens rolled great just hard to see some of the subtle breaks. Just a tad long on some if the holes from the white for me. Gold tees might have suited better.
The course has a great layout with generous fairways and challenging holes. 18 is a great finishing hole. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The tee boxes were a bit spotty but the sand traps were not up to the condition of the rest of the course and were difficult to play out of because of lack of sand. The staff was friendly with lunch included as part of your round of golf.

The course has wide fairways!My wife and I played the course twice and both times they let us get out early. We played three hours 45 minutes both day
My wife and I played the course two days and they let us go out early both days. Both rounds took less than four hours. The starter was great his name is Terry.
Course was great. Only saw cart gal once and bathrooms were locked when we ended round.

I’m writing this review as we wait to hit the back nine, it’s been a 2 1:2 hour front nine there are 4 groups on number 10! Pace of play is horrible! It will be at least a five hour round if we are lucky, this kind of slow play ruins golfs reputation. The course is in really nice shape but waiting on every shot ruins our game
Law
The course needs to spread out its tee times, every 8 minutes is too close for the quality of players. We waited every shot , and it was a 3 hour first nine, at the turn we continued, hoping people would not be playing. After 15, we had enough and drove back in. It appeared that the group 5 in front of us were the problem, after one of the players relieved himself, before teeing off, there was no one on the final par 5, except this group holding everyone up. Like the course, but pace of play needs better monitoring!1
Good day at Bear Creek
The course was in very good condition for early April. Fairway lies were some of the best we played. Greens were very good but many of the reads were not what I expected. We really enjoyed our round. The only issue at all was the Marshall rushed us to play faster when we were on the exact pace we should have been for a foursome. I guess he just didn’t have anything else to say.
