Ironwood Country Club
About
Ironwood Golf Course is an 18-hole course with many challenging elements. There are water hazards that come into play on five holes and the holes that don't have water have strategically placed sand bunkers coming in to play. All of the greens are sloped and some are undulating as well. One interesting asset of the course is the extensive mounding; the unique and interesting placement can cause uneven lies. The course is tricky but there are three sets of tee boxes to adapt to a variety of abilities and handicaps. The Ironwood Golf Course facility also features practice facilities including a putting green and chipping area.

Windy day golf
Overall nice course. Good value for the Golf Now deal.
Only negative was the EXTREMELY rude gentleman in the golf shop. Unlikely we will pick this course again because of that.
The range guy was nice and very helpful.
Nice round of Golf
Played on Easter morning so the course was wide open. Nobody in front of us and 2 open holes behind us, so pace of play was whatever we decided it to be.
Greens and fairways were in very good shape. Off the fairway the grass was a pretty dry and ground very hard, but you are supposed to be in the fairway right.....
Lots of bunkers and some tough shots over sand to tucked pins. We played from the backs and from there its a fun course with some longer par3's if you choose to do that.
Nice course overall.
Love this course
We loved golfing here. Comments made about 1 pro shop staff member who tends to be a little grumpy but our experience has always been very welcoming with staff here - especially marshals who are always very friendly and helpful. Very rarely had to wait - loved golfing at 4:00 p.m. - good value - great little course!
Great course for the money
We got on with no waiting throughout course of play
course was in very good condition
Greens in great shape
Played 18 in hte afternoon. 10 minutes late on the 1:30 pm reservation but never had to wait thereafter.
Greens were in great shape. Bermuda just starting to come in so the rough was basicly non-existant.
We had a fun afternoon!
Nice course. Staff needs work.
Every player that I crossed paths with was super friendly, pace of play was fair and the course was in good condition. The pro shop desk worker/starter was fairly cold and dismissive. The ranger/beverage cart person was 100% rude, confrontational and definitely on a power trip. For the money, the course up the road is nicer and the staff has always been pleasant, which means that my return to Ironwood is highly unlikely.
Well groomed course and club house
I walked into the club house and was very impressed. Greens and fairways were well kept. The ranger did a great job in informing our 3 some of all of the challenges.
Iron Wood
Very well run par 67 course, nice fairway grass, nice green and some challenging water holes
Golf
It was a nice day for golf. Course was in ok conditions. We went into clubhouse for a drink after the round but there was no staff in site.
Nice Saturday afternoon
Pleasant short course with beautiful greens. Best test of the course are the greens. Pretty large with tiered levels that are hard to see on approach. Play was a little slow with backups on a couple of par 3's that were a little tougher than they appeared. Fairways in good shape. Bunkers were a little rocky (typical in AZ because of winds) but well cared for with heavy sand well raked and prepped by the grounds crew. Marshall & Pro Shop staff polite but not friendly at all. The only downer of the day but they didn't ruin the round. I would recommend the course to anyone looking for a nice round, not too testing, well worth the GolfNow price for a Saturday outing.
Green Everywhere
Had a great day at a great price , Very nice Executive course . Good fast greens and nice green Tees
Great staff makes up for slow pace
Grounds were in good condition after heavy rains the day before. Afternoon play is always a little slower then desired. Staff and patrol keep track of pace and let you know when it will loosen up. Everyone is really friendly and it is a reasonable price for March.
Great Course
Great pace with some challenges. I would recommend to anyone who wants to get 18 in 3 1/2 hours.
Challenging for all levels
Found the course to be challenging for our foursome. Foursome consisted of a daily golfer, two bi-weekly golfers and an occasional golfer.
An enjoyable experience.
A very nice smaller course...
This course is well taken care of. It has a nice variety of holes with just enough water and sand but not too much.
I haven't seen very many tee times on GolfNow for this course, so it's good to "get 'em when ya can".
We'll be back.
Well Maintain, poor customer service
Course quality worth the value, but arrived 10mins prior to tee time and staff made us tee off immediately after getting out of car due to over booking. We caught up to the 4-some in front of use. But the group behind us continually hit into use narrowly missing several members of our 4-some several times. When brought to the attention of staff they could care less. If you are looking for a quality course but don't care on service this is worth your money.
fun to play
this course is short but setup to make it very enjoyable. fairways and greens were super would play again many times
Nice variety of club selection for play on this ourse.
Course and greens in nice condition. Enjoyed lunch in attractive clubhouse.
always love playng there...but...
watch out for the crusty old men regulars...dont get me wrong...i understand this is their home course they play it everyday and many live on it...but wow...long long story short...dont say i didnt warn you of them
Good value. Shorter course only 1 par 5 on front 9 and 1 on back.
Great value well kept course. Just make sure you bring your own food clubhouse didn't serve anything in the morning. Not much in cart that only came around once too.
