About
Ironwood Golf Course is an 18-hole course with many challenging elements. There are water hazards that come into play on five holes and the holes that don't have water have strategically placed sand bunkers coming in to play. All of the greens are sloped and some are undulating as well. One interesting asset of the course is the extensive mounding; the unique and interesting placement can cause uneven lies. The course is tricky but there are three sets of tee boxes to adapt to a variety of abilities and handicaps. The Ironwood Golf Course facility also features practice facilities including a putting green and chipping area.

Course was in great condition after taking a year to renovate. Nice job.
Great course at Sun Lakes
The Ironwood Golf Course was a great course, longer than an executive course, but shorter than regulation size. The staff in the bar grill afterward were friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely be playing this course again.
GOLF NOW PLAYERS BEWARE
Had a 2 pm tee time. Got there early for a nice lunch before. No bag drop. Went to restaurant waited for five minutes for a server. Finally went to bar to ask to be served. Sorry I am too busy. I will get to you as soon as I can. Waited another 10 minutes no server. We left. GolfNow fee was $20. Course from white tees 4,000 yards no driving range.
enjoyabe
Very well maintained course with straightforward layout and generous hitting areas. This is not the place to go for a long and challenging round BUT it is fun to play and a relaxing round. As long as you have the right expectations, you will enjoy.

a good little executive track. the conditon of the course was not great. Fairways, greens and traps need a lot of TLC.

Great conditions.
1st time playing here and can't wait to play here again. It is a shorter course but they make up for it with bunkers etc. to keep it challenging. We did a bit of waiting on others but on a beautiful Saturday afternoon we knew it would be busy. the two of us still finished in <4hours.
Not sure if it is in a retirement community. The staff wasn't overly friendly outside of the marshal who we saw often. Can't complain though.
Pleasant round to sharpen your short game !
No too complicated but ,nice to have a chance at par for a change ! Still managed to have a couple of doubles..LOL
Valentines Day Ironwood
The greens were in perfect shape they held the ball with my wedge shots & even the one time I was teaching my girlfriend a bump & run shot. Fairways were green & not soaked, we did start at 12:45 BTW; so can't speak for earlier. The cart service was once per side but that's okay ( a beer will set you back a whole of 2.50) we weren't looking to get plowed!!! The staff at the club house was very nice we even got asked by the gentleman that signed us in how it went as he was at the bar sipping a martini afterwards.
Ironwood Golf Course
We had never played this course before and were pleasantly surprised. We all enjoyed the course very much. While not as long as some of the other courses there were still two par 5's. A nice course for couples to play.
ALWAYS A NICE EXPERIENCE
Have played Ironwood three times and it is fun to play for the most part. We play from the tips and it is still not very long, although some of the par 3's from the tips make up for it. In our 60's it is enjoyable to play. As usual for most of the courses in the area, more dirt than sand in the traps. Don't understand why.
Perfect Fit
course in very good condition. They had a tournament in the morning to bother pace of play but went back to one and course was open. Staff great, short senior course but still had lots of fun and will do again Partner inexperienced golfer and had a great time and loved layout

The course was in Great Shape!!! Gary " The Golf Ranger" was Great, What a nice person!!!!

Had a great time, the course ranger was a bet of a drill sargent, but all in all was great . will go back
great short course
Played Ironwood for the first time and was very impressed. The course was in great shape with very good greens. The bunkers, fairways and tee boxes were all very good. We managed to get out on the course early and had the place to ourselves. This is a great course for couples or for someone who does not to be punished all day long but its no pushover either.
I will return for sure. Its a bit of a little gem!
