Dobson Ranch Golf Course

The course was in okay condition considering the time of year. The driving range is excellent with lots of targets and monitors, would be good to come back just to practice. The downside is the 10th hole runs parallel to the range, no fence to protect you on the 10th fairway and the fairway is littered with dozens of range balls, makes it nearly impossible to find your ball when it lands amongst the range ones. Considering liability issues you would think a fence would be mandatory on an adjacent fairway at the very least.

Dobson Ranch never disappoints. My wife and I played his course at least once a week and visit the driving range often. The course is always well kept and the staff there is amazing. We will continue to visit this golf course while we live in Arizona. Thank you so much.

It’s been many years since I played Dobson… But it’s a great track! It’ll be even better when the greens are not as hairy and slow.

Only one weird thing… Trying to get off the Teebox on hole #9 a staff member from the Grill drove towards us, not yielding to our tee shots. It was a bit odd and she asked us if we wanted to order anything from the grill… We replied no we just want to hit our tee shots.

Course overall was good, Was just over seeded, whish they would have added that info to their website or when booking the appointment that it was car path only prior, or wouldn't have tried it. Poor scheduling, had 3 groups held up because someone put walking people in front of 3 groups with carts which is dumb. Then only tell us cart path only when about to tee off. Tee time was held back 8 mins and everyone got held up because a group of older men walking wouldn't hurry up. Player assistant was a joke, did not do anything to help pace of play and when we tried to jump players to try to finish the course before dark (at hole 12 at 6:30PM and precedded to tell us how awful we are, how "real golfers" dont do this and how we at Dobson ranch don't act like this. Long story short, paid money and was not able to finish a full 18 due to lack of planning or accountability on the golf course staff. Recommend to find somewhere else.

Dobson Ranch is alwayts fun, Staff is great. Overall a fun vibe.

I have played this course for decades and find the upgrades commendable, though golfers intent on booming music during play is annoying--of course, that is younger players these days.Please, for the love of all things wonderful, stop. Unplug and enjoy your time on the course. Slow play is a problem everywhere, though rangers were ever-present and generally effective. The twosome I played with were hitting second third shots not only off the tee but throughout the round. Of course they would announce wildly inaccurate scores--out-of-owners! The greens are some of the best designed and maintained anywhere. Darn tough. The fairways were about what what one would expect before overseed, and the bunkers were thin on sand--also to be expected. The staff is uniformly wonderful. This course has loyal and dedicated players, me included. The rates are eminently affordable. Practice facility is top-notch for a municipal course. I especially love to see all the school teams playing there. And don't forget to enjoy the club house for a few pints. Tip well, please.

By far the worst course I have ever played on.

Best part was the gal that drove the beverage car. Very friendly and attentive. Fairways were the worst. Dry, extremely brown and dusty!

The price to play 18 on such a poorly maintained course is NOT worth your money!

There are much more maintained and beautiful courses to play at.

First time playing this course while visiting Phoenix. Course was in decent shape despite record heat. Staff was great to work with our party of 9. Mark was a true “king of hospitality”. 19 hole was filled with friendly people and cold beer.
