Dobson Ranch Golf Course

Dobson is a well attended, maintained and wonderful course. All the staff is wonderful including the staff ,service and maint. People. The food is good and the driving range is par excellence

I have never golfed before and maverik was very patient with me and was so nice and helpful

group in front of us were 4 holes behind and no one told them to get moving. it was not bad play (can be expected) but but they would stand on the green after finishing and talk, we would have to yell to get them to go to the tee box. makes me want to go somewhere else

Great course which is challenging and forgiving. The day was cloudy for the most part and that kept the heat under control.

I played the course twice this week and I have to say I was very impressed. The course from tee to green is in phenomenal shape, which if I stopped right there, that, in most cases should be enough to make you want to play at least one round here at Dobson Ranch. But it's much more than that. The staff here has treated me like family. Maverik, Louie, Paul, Valerie, Mark, Taylor, Caden, Parker, and Andrew, have all gone above and beyond to accommodate me as I have a disability, and create the best possible environment for me to have an amazing experience. There is no score above 5 stars or else I would give it. The course, the amenities, and the staff here make Dobson Ranch a real gem. If you love golf, this is the perfect place to bring your friends and family. I guarantee you will have a fantastic time.

Would have been nice to know when booking it was cart path only. Would have rescheduled or cancelled.

The course from tee to green is in amazing condition. The greens were rolling absolutely pure. Credit to the grounds crew and the superintendent, it's clear these guy's are top notch. Can't wait to tee it up again next week!

The course was not maintained well around the greens. On the fringes of the greens there were big tufts of Brome Grass. Even 5-10ft away from the greens there were long weeds.

I think it's the best municipal course in the Phoenix area. Yeah the conditions are a little rough compared to a high-end course, but it's still fun to play and honestly that's the bottom line.

This is a two part rating. Staff and off course amenities are the best anywhere. Practice facilities are first rate, great pro shop and restaurant. Five stars to those. The course itself is another story. Worst condition I’ve seen it in this summer in over 30 years. Weeds and fairway bare spots everywhere, except on the actual greens. But lots of weeds even in the fringe right up to the greens. Rough is really rough and unkept even for the rough. If the actual course playing conditions are your priority, you should look elsewhere. The only thing saving them are the green fees which are quite low and thankfully in line with playing conditions. So I’ll probably keep going back.

Greens are perfect. The rest of the course is atrocious. Crabgrass everywhere. Fairways are a mess. Totally different from where the snowbirds come in. Glad I only paid $24 bucks.

We always enjoy playing at Dobson Ranch and will play again. The staff is fantastic and for this time of year, was in fairly good shape.

First time playing the course. The staff and facilities are great. The course layout is good, the conditions were okay for summer time. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Greens were a little slow but rolled true. Cannot wait to come back later this year to play. Well worth the money.
