Championship at Incline Village Golf Resort
About
The Championship Course at Incline Village will challenge golfers of all levels, and leave even scratch golfers breathless with a slope rating that tops 140. Combining amazing scenery with demanding golf action, the Championship Course is high on the list of traveling golfers looking for the best from their High Sierra golf package.
Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the course received a facelift in 2003, courtesy of golf course architect Kyle Phillips. The nearly $5 million renovation reinvigorated the course, which demands accuracy, as well as giving players risk-reward opportunities over trees and bunkers.
With two golf courses - the Championship and Mountain courses - Incline Village offers something for all level of golfer, and offers outstanding service and conditioning, as well as top-notch practice facilities, making it a highlight for a High Sierra golf vacation.

Play Incline!
Great mountain golf experience. Greens are treacherous if you are above the hole. Beautiful course lots of fun.
Wonderful Experience
The golf course and views were memorable. It was a great mountain course. I would recommend this course
Best around Tahoe
I played the championship course par 72 & had a hot deal for $85 at 2:40pm and finished just under 4 hours after splitting away on the back 9 from the 3 some I was paired with. Course conditions were awesome compared to the drought we are in...green fairways and lush rough. Bunkers had nice real sand vs dirt! Greens were rolling nicely and pretty fast downhill towards the lake & would guess running around 11+...downhill away from the lake not as fast as well as uphill putts...play your break towards the lake even if it looks straight! I'm a 5 handicap & didn't score well on the front and shot 8 over with 1 birdie from the blues...ball carries further in the mountains & even the long par 3 's on the front I went OB long even clubbing down 1 club! I redeemed myself on the back 9 & was playing well all day just needed to adjust for the course...shot 2 under on back with 3 birdies for a 6 over 78. I loved the course it was beautiful through the woods with lake views here & there of Tahoe! Besides Edgewood golf course this course at Incline has to be the best in the area!
Love this course. Would definetely come back!
Good example of a Tahoe mountain course. Well maintaianed, excellent practice facilities, wonderful proshop. Hadn't played it for several years & enjoyed playing the "back" 9 first. We will definetely be coming back!
Great RTJ Sr. course in perfect conditions
We had bought a week at a timeshare in Incline Village at a charity auction and were looking for good golf nearby. WE really stumbled on the course on Golf Now. The rack rate is $169 but we paid $119 for a 1:20 tee time. The course was firm and fast. The bent grass greens are slowly being over taken by poa annua, but were in excellent, very fast shape. The dry pine forest rough -- pine straw they would say at August -- gave some hope of recovery from a bad tee shot which was exaggerated by fairly narrow landing areas for drives. But the real key to scoring was putting your approach below the hole. No complaint about the greens which were very true, but very fast, so don't even try for birdie from above. I'll go back next time we're in Tahoe.
One of the best
One of the best mountain courses in the United States. Just can't say enough good things about it. The layout, conditions, staff, scenery - everything about the entire experience was great. Only downside is the course is only open from June through September. But if you're anywhere close to it during those months, go play.
this course has many beautiful views
The course was in good shape very nice greens. Wasn't all that difficult just had to play good hit good shots.
Nice track
We had an email confirmation for a 2:40 tee time. Went to the tee and the Marshall told me I was wrong and that we weren't on the tee for 20 more minutes. A minor inconvenience, but being accused of lying wasn't cool. I showed him the email on my phone and I was told "well that means we are both right". Thought it was classless. He also told me the greens were fast. They were an 8 tops. Fun track. Pro shop guy was great. Outside service guys were top notch.
Great course
Great tough course. Good views, course in great conditions. All putts pull toward Lake Tahoe. Play one club less as the altitude was around 6700ft.
beautiful place to play
Played with a local and had a great round. Views were awsome. Greens were perfect.
Nice course, staff not coordinated
Before my wife and I teed off we were asked at least 6 times if we had a tee time by the marshalls on the first tee. This was after checking in at the pro shop, them acknowledging our Golf Now booking and tee time and full payment through the Golf Now website and getting loaded on our cart. The right and left hand were not coordinated. This got the round off to a very psour start for me.
Love this course
In a sound bite, if one doesn't love playing this course on a sunny day, then one should take up watching the news or some other depressing pastime! It simply has great entertainment value. Visually, it looks harder than it is. The fairways are inviting from the tee with clearly defined targets. The greens are nicely sized, and misses generally stay about where you miss them instead of bounding off into some netherland that costs a couple of strokes, if not a ball. And the views from several,of the holes are simply Lake Tahoe beautiful. If you are in the Lake Tahoe area, do yourself a favor and play this course.
First time on this course
An excellent course with beautifully contoured fairways and greens. Nice views of the mountains around Lake Tahoe on every hole, as well as the lake itself on a couple of holes. It's a very challenging, fairly long course with several creeks, ponds, bunkers and both left and right dog-legs. Intermediate to well experienced golfers will appreciate this course. If you score well, you've earned it. I don't know what the course rules are with regard to walking or using a cart, but I would rate it as a moderate degree of difficultly walkable course.
Great course
We had a very nice round. The staff was very friendly. I would come back again
Must play in Tahoe
Played this course on vacation in July 2013. Great views of Lake Tahoe. Course was in excellent shape. I liked how it offered a mix of challenging and easy holes. Pace of play was strictly enforced. I've played some nice courses before (major championship courses) and this course was in as good of shape as any and is in my top 5 for overall experience.
What a treat. Golf at Lake Tahoe is great.
The course is very scenic and a great test. Course was in great shape, although the greens had been recently punched. If you get a chance this is a must play.
Great established course
This is a great golf course, well established with mature trees, creeks and water, beautifully laid out course. The sand is sparse, wet, and hard, the greens had been plugged and sanded and in poor condition. It was discounted quite a bit, likely because of the greens. It's been about 25 yrs since I played this before, and is as good as I remember (except for the greens).
back 9 closed for coring, sanding greens, not shown online
got to play the front 9 twice as found out when arriving at the pro shop the back 9 was closed , price was right but no icons online to indicate aerating, front 9 greens were heavily sanded post aerating, range was nice but the sanded greens and closed back 9 were big unexpected disappointments, hope golfnow keeps a bit more diligent with regards to course conditions
This challenging course has fabulous views of Lake Tahoe and the mountains.
We played late in the season so carts were on paths and the fairways had a bit of sand and seed. Even with this, the course looked and played great. Greens are large and undulating. Views from every tee box were awesome. Multiple tee boxes allow any level of player to be challenged. Overall great course.
Pristine course in beautiful lake tahoe
Played on hot deal in the afternoon. Was able to get on the course early and the staff was extremely friendly. Course was well maintained/ Golf on a sunny day in the trees, what could be better.
