About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Hot day
Considering the extreme heat, course is in good shape. Fairways were green and well groomed and greens were in good shape.
Hot, dry and thirsty!
What kind of golf course in America does not sell and/or allow alcohol on the course??? No drink cart either so you can only get water at the club house and with no way to keep the water cool it's warm 2 holes after you leave the club house. Wake up people, this is a desert, liquids are a necessity! And then they pair up a super slow single with us when there was only 2 other groups playing within an hour. This will be a one time only visit, definitely won't return here!
Course Needs Attention
I've been playing this course for 20 years, and this is by far the worst condition I have seen it in. Not just one part of it, but tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens. Even at just $20 it is over-priced for summer heat. There are so many executives in the SE Valley in much better condition for less cost. I don't know why anyone comes here, unless it is the staff, who is always great. I won't be back to this dog track until the fall.

One of my new faves
I've played the neighboring Springfield course many times, but have never played here before. Let me tell you, if rates are comparable, I'll play Sunbird 10 times out of 10 over Springfield. Sunbird is well kept, friendly, good layout, steady pace, just has a great time. Will definitely return!
Quiet day
Nobody on course. Nice to play with no waiting and although hot outside we played in fabulous conditions.

Everything you want in an Executive course, and more!
Having played on about 15 courses this year I can attest that the conditions of the course are a good, or better, than many of them that cost much more. The greens are excellent and the rest of the course has held up well for this time of year. The facilities are well tended and the staff is very friendly and helpful. And don't miss out on Ritchie V's Chicago hot dogs or the Italian beef in the turn.
Good day at Sunbird!
First time playing this course after driving by it hundreds of times. It is a fun, easy course with water, trees and nice greens and fairways. A good challenge and change from the big boy courses. Impressed with the care that was obvious by the greens keepers. I’ll be back!

We really enjoyed our round on the well maintained course, Most holes were straight away, some challenging holes added a little variety. People and staff were very friendly. Will be back.

They charge fifty now and it has not improved - everything very run down - so sad for workers who must be depressed and also sad and ANGRY, too!
