Willow Creek Golf Course
About
Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

The course was ok
I've played this course when it was in much better shape. The greens were in bad shape and the pace of play of play on last 9 holes were very slow.
Satisfied golfer
Nice course with some good variety. Greens putted true with good pace. Three hours and 45 minute round. Great hot dogs!
Fun design but greens beat up bad
Have played this course for several years and have always enjoyed it for the most part. This day the greens were absolutely horrible. Lots of play on them and people not fixing their ball marks (not courses fault). The splotches of disease and dead grass on the other hand...probably. Regardless, the greens were really bad. I do recommend the course when the greens are in good shape but that would not be right now. Another thing, they should not be charging the prices they do when the greens are that beat up and its winter as well. Anyway, nuff said.
Willow Creek not how I remembered it.
Willow Creek is a course I would not normally play unless with a associated discount of some kind. It is over-priced for the shape and conditions I experienced yesterday (Winter Time). It is played a lot and maintenance is an issue especially the greens as I rate them poor at best.
Good course
Good course and good condition. I would tell others to play it.
willow creek
Course is in great condition overall would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun and challenging round.
Course has nice practice facilities
Interested course to play. Will love to invite a friend and play again and again. Thanks
Gem of a course
Not being from the Greenville/Spartanburg area, I looked up this course and found a nice deal to play.
I loved the layout of the course. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. The greens were very pocked with ball marks and putting was difficult because of that. All in all, I can't wait to come back to the area to play the loop again!
Great Course, Great Value
Willow Creek is my favorite course in the area. It's always in good shape, it is consistent (across the various holes and with time) and it is fair. The bent greens are among the best in the area and they always putt well. The course is nestled among a very nice community and so it isn't very private but it's always a great play.
Good for discount rate only
Fairways in great shape, greens hit and miss. Over rated course for regular price, please play at discounted rate.
Booked for the 17th palyed on 16th
I wasn't paying attention when I booked - we could only play on October 16th but I had booked for the 17th. The course fit my group in and we had a great time. Courses in South Carolina are much nicer than New Jersey
Super Practice Facility.
Like the fairways ....nice Greens medium speed. Very Fair course....
Its nice but could be really nice
Nice course. Greens were slow and marked up because others not repairing hardly any ball marks. Greens to be maintained better.Staff very friendly.
Nice Course
Very fair setup, good opyions on tee choices, good greens, nice practice facility
Willow Creek Review
I got a last minute deal on 18 holes for $25. I am 12 handicap and played from the whites, should have played from the blues. The whites play pretty short and actually are shared with the orange tees on many holes. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, though I was surprised at the conditions of many greens - saw a fair amount of weed spots and other blemishes. In summary a fine course for $25, relatively short from the whites.
Condition
The fairways were in great shape, but the greens were very bad condition. I hope they work on the greens , soon.
Great layout
Lots of challenges. Doglegs, elevated greens. A pretty coursr. Wide fairways but miss them & trouble awaits. Greens held shots well.
Great course and value
Love this course. Pace of play was a little slow but they did have a tourney that morning so it was a little backed up. I really enjoy this course and it is in great shape. Would definitely recommend to a friend and will play again.
Good Value
Well worth the money. Course is in good condition (except for un-filled divots and un-repaired ball marks - why do golfers do that?). Greens can be tricky and hard to read. You'll enjoy it.
Amazing!!
Great for any level golfer. Very well maintained and manicured fairways and greens. My brother in-law and I really enjoyed this golf outing. The par 3 holes are a bit short but the hazards make up for any lacking in challenge.
