Willow Creek Golf Course
About
Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

Haughty, not worth it.
The mood at Willow Creek was very haughty. Surprising, as the ill repair of the greens did not really justify such snootiness.
The course is nice, but bad greens and bad attitudes towards the public did not welcome us.
The Ranger was very rude to us, but neglected to say anything to the "member" that we had been paired up with, who was walking.
I won't be returning.
Great track
Course is always in great condition. Today the greens were a little slow but still overall great.
Love it
I really enjoy the place at times players want to rush you why I don't know it's golf calm down and take it easy
Fantastic Conditions
Last time i played Willow Creek the greens were a little rough, but they have made a come back. The guys i invited kept commenting on how great course conditions were since the last time they played. Would recommend the starter be at the first tee to regulate pace of play though, guys line up and just wait till group ahead moves. But this just creates a back up on next holes depending on pace of play of the groups ahead, so a little regulation of when to go off would be helpful.
Nice technical course
The grass in the fairways and greens was in great shape. My twosome finished right at 4 hours which was great. I wouldn't pay full price rates for it, but discounted rates is worth it.
Great local course
This has always been my go-to course when I feel the need to complete a loop. The course was in terrific shape for early in the season. The only "negative" which is somewhat out of their control is that the close tee times can sometimes drastically slow pace of play if 2 or 3 groups in front of you start playing poorly. The course can't prevent poor play, just making a point...I think the times are only spaced 8 minutes.
All in all, though, this is a great local course to the Greenville/Spartanburg area and I'll continue to go back.
Nice course
I play Willow Creek fairly regularly. Course conditions were very good for this time of year. Much better than the course I played last weekend. Staff is very friendly. I'll definitely continue to play there!
Good Course
I have played the course before and it seems in good shape. The greens had been punched and they were rough.
Willow
Greens had been punched a few weeks back and still unputtable. Will be back later as this really is a great course.
Great Sunday Round
Great round. The course is fun to play and has some challenge to it. Great value for what you get compared to most golf courses in the Greenville area.
Bad condition, unfriendly staff
Staff was unfriendly when we arrived, course was in bad shape & very open which made the wind that much worse, we played 3 holes in one hour & play was very slow
The course was ok
I've played this course when it was in much better shape. The greens were in bad shape and the pace of play of play on last 9 holes were very slow.
Satisfied golfer
Nice course with some good variety. Greens putted true with good pace. Three hours and 45 minute round. Great hot dogs!
Fun design but greens beat up bad
Have played this course for several years and have always enjoyed it for the most part. This day the greens were absolutely horrible. Lots of play on them and people not fixing their ball marks (not courses fault). The splotches of disease and dead grass on the other hand...probably. Regardless, the greens were really bad. I do recommend the course when the greens are in good shape but that would not be right now. Another thing, they should not be charging the prices they do when the greens are that beat up and its winter as well. Anyway, nuff said.
Willow Creek not how I remembered it.
Willow Creek is a course I would not normally play unless with a associated discount of some kind. It is over-priced for the shape and conditions I experienced yesterday (Winter Time). It is played a lot and maintenance is an issue especially the greens as I rate them poor at best.
Good course
Good course and good condition. I would tell others to play it.
willow creek
Course is in great condition overall would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun and challenging round.
Course has nice practice facilities
Interested course to play. Will love to invite a friend and play again and again. Thanks
Gem of a course
Not being from the Greenville/Spartanburg area, I looked up this course and found a nice deal to play.
I loved the layout of the course. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. The greens were very pocked with ball marks and putting was difficult because of that. All in all, I can't wait to come back to the area to play the loop again!
Great Course, Great Value
Willow Creek is my favorite course in the area. It's always in good shape, it is consistent (across the various holes and with time) and it is fair. The bent greens are among the best in the area and they always putt well. The course is nestled among a very nice community and so it isn't very private but it's always a great play.
