About
Desert Mirage Golf Course offers a public, nine-hole course and a fully stocked pro shop. The course has a traditional design but that does not mean it is boring. It is perfect for squeezing in a quick game or for beginners and kids. The course is relatively flat, but there are some hills on the course that can affect shots. The greens are medium sized with some slight undulation and the generous fairways are wide open. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play on a few of the holes. Desert Mirage Golf Course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth. It requires a tee shot over a lake to an island green.

Friendly for beginners
Great course for beginners and great bargain to learn. My son and I enjoyed it. Staff was super friendly and even offered junior rates. Range was decent to practice.

I like this course, my only complaint is that the cart paths are horrible! They desperately need to be graded.

Ho Hum
The golf course it located in a neighborhood near the stadium. It is an executive layout with 5 par-3s and 4 par-4s. The layout is pretty straight forward. The staff are extremely friendly and the nice lady behind the grill will prepare good food for you. This is a very unpretentious place and would rate higher except.....
The turf. The turf conditions are horrible. The greens are good enough, given the low-cost nature of the course. But the fairways are not. At all. They're bare or thin almost everywhere, making it difficult to make good ball contact.
As you go around the west side of the driving range on Hole #4 there is another teeing area for the range. (Going back towards the clubhouse.) The turf there is really good; the difference is like night and day. So, they can do it. Why don't they? Costs, probably. It's likely their typical clientele won't make the distinction anyway.
I have an individual Callaway hitting mat I use on some driving ranges. I may play a round from it and see if it changes my perception of the course.

Desert Mirage
Excellent value, excellent staff. Perfect course for staying on top of your game. Oasis Canteen is a “must stop” for a pre/post round meal/snack. Driving Range and Putting Green always in good shape. Highly recommended.

First round at Desert Mirage
First time playing Desert Mirage so did not know what to expect. Staff were friendly and service OK but we were 15 minutes past our booked tee time before a cart was available for us.
Course itself was OK. Some Tee boxes in poor condition Greens average.

The staff makes this course better!
3 & 4 par course that starts off relatively basic, but increased in difficulty as you move through the course. Well kept fairways and deceiving greens make for an excellent experience. The staff is flat out fantastic! We felt like VIPs from the start. They went out of their way to make my family feel welcomed during our short vacation, from free range balls to constant communication on our tee times. Highly recommend this course!
